Description: K'hetah checks on Aishara and Ayumith after Threadfall.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 9, day 5 of Turn 4
**Did you tell Ayumith I wanted to speak to her rider?** K'hetah asked, checking with his dragon as he walked out into the Weyrbowl and the mid
-afternoon sunshine.
}:Yes. I tell her each time you check with me.:{ The bronzerider's sigh was becoming a familiar sound to his own ears but nothing was going to make Loeth any less enamoured of the tropically warm sea. Out beyond the rocky arm of the broken volcano was a bronze dragon who thought water was his natural element and was disinclined to put up with any interruptions to his enjoyment of it.
Out in the Bowl he looked around for the green dragon and the brown-haired greenrider.
Auymith landed near the Wingleader and Aishara dismounted. Their weyr was one of those that were only accessible by dragon.
"You wanted to see me, sir?" Aishara asked.
"Yes, you and Ayumith, both." He nodded at the green. "No trouble with the 'Fall today?"
"No, sir, it was fairly routine," Aishara replied. Like Thread would ever be routine!
"Always different, always the same," K'hetah said, laughing at the thought. "And you? The scoring's not giving you any problems?"
"No sir, it is healed quickly and without problems," Aishara replied.
"You don't have to call me 'sir' all the time." He shrugged. "It's possible to have too much of a good thing."
"Sorry, s--" Aishara bit off the word, "I try to remember that," she grinned.
"Good," the Wingleader said with a smile. "So the scoring isn't affecting either of you, these days, and - How do you find 'Falls in general? Any problems, concerns ... Suggestions?"
Aishara shook her head. "I've no problems. I've fallen into the routine, so to speak. I mean no Fall is the same, but Ayumith and I have gotten the hang of it."
"You did look like you were flying well." He glanced at the green and saw a healthy, well cared for beast. "What happened - with the scoring?"
"I was giving Ayumith more firestone. Neither of us noticed the Thread clump and it brushed against my thigh," Aishara said. "Moment's lapse in attention."
"And you've learnt that lesson, do you think?"
"I believe so. Always look back and up too," Aishara smiled.
"It's one of those times when you have to have your wits about you,"
K'hetah agreed. "If everything's all right with you and Ayumith then I won't hold you up. Enjoy a well-deserved rest, Aishara."
Aishara nodded and glance her lifemate. "I think we both deserve a good, long bath," she remarked.
"Indeed you do."
