"Woah!" L'nar's hands shot out, one bracing against the wall and one catching D'cal as the bluerider plowed into him as if he had no idea where, exactly, he was going. One look at D'cal told L'nar all he needed to know--they were in the passageway outside Dyaera's weyr and D'cal looked as if someone had just jumped up and down on his heart.
Which was pretty much Dyaera's specialty, L'nar mused as he put his other hand on the bluerider's arm. "D'cal? Are you all right?"
"I don't want to talk about it," he growled. His face instantly turned contrite as he looked up at the greenrider. "I'm sorry, L'nar."
"Hey, it's all right." L'nar snuck an arm around the bluerider's shoulders, giving him a friendly hug... and admiring the nice muscles that he'd spent so much time gazing at. "There's not a person on Pern that Dyaera couldn't annoy within a few heartbeats. Trust me... I've watched her do it."
"It's better than what I just watched her doing." Or rather being done _to_
her. He took a deep breath, shaking his head, trying to clear it of the image of that man with his lips... "Shards, I have to get out of here."
"Come on... my weyr's not far away. And I have wine." And stouter things, if it came to that... and from the look on D'cal's face, it very well might.
L'nar wasn't in the least bit opposed to the idea of a drunk D'cal in his weyr... especially one who was angry at Dyaera.
"Wine sounds good," D'cal said as he allowed himself to be lead down the hall. How could she do this? She _knew_ he was bringing her dinner! She _knew_ he would come! And she knew that he still cared for her...
L'nar steered D'cal into his weyr and onto a couch. "Sit down, D'cal..." It took only a few moments to retrieve a bottle of wine. Finding two glasses that were clean was more of a task, and in the end L'nar figured D'cal was too shocked to notice a little and poured a generous glass of wine for the bluerider. "Here. Drink."
The bluerider did as he was told. In one long gulp he threw back the entire glass. "Shards, L'nar, I bring her meals, I sit by her side, I wash her sharding dragon! Why wasn't _I_ the one she asked into her bed?!"
His wine glass was refilled as quickly as he'd emptied it. D'cal's question, however, was not so easily answered. L'nar shrugged one shoulder. "She's a woman, D'cal... who knows why they do the crazy things they do. Maybe it's hormones." "Well, apparently her hormones find me lacking. She much prefers some red-headed stranger to me." He took another gulp of wine, his hurt and confusion starting to burn along with the wine in the pit of his stomach.
"What, am I good enough to fetch and carry, but not man enough to satisfy her?"
"Bah, you're _too_ much man for her," L'nar replied, inching closer. "She's sixteen and stupid." Really stupid, if she hadn't dragged D'cal's obviously willing arse into her bed yet, immobilized or not. "She's not _stupid_," D'cal said defensively. "But she just doesn't get it!
She just doesn't understand how it makes me feel to be yanked around like this. One moment she's kissing me, the next she's inviting people I have never even seen before into her bed! It's all just so... so... _stupid_!"
"Uh-huh..." L'nar poured D'cal more wine and wrapped a friendly arm around the bluerider's shoulder. "That's girls for you. They never know what they want." The bluerider's temper was beginning to rise again. "I bet you never had a girl who said she liked you, and then would keep choosing everyone _but_
you, and then keep tell you _you_ were the confusing one, have you?"
L'nar pondered D'cal for a moment. Then he finished his entire glass of wine in one swig, dropped it on the floor, and claimed D'cal's lips in an enthusiastic kiss. The surprised weyrling grabbed the greenrider's tunic and pushed him away, looking at him in started alarm. He was about to ask what had gotten in to the man's sharding brain when he realized he had just had his first kiss from a man, and it felt no different than kissing Kisdra had. For some reason D'cal had always thought it would feel different. But L'nar's lips felt the same. D'cal's reaction to the kiss had been the same. He had just kissed a man, and it wasn't any different from kissing a woman.
The weyrling knew it was hypocritical of him, but shard it all, if Dyaera could forget him, he could forget her! The anger he was feeling towards one greenrider suddenly turned to lust in the bluerider's eyes as he pulled L'nar back for another kiss, full of raw desire - desire to know, to understand, and to forget.
L'nar would have danced in glee if he hadn't had his arms full of lusty bluerider. It was easy enough to swing his leg over D'cal's, settling onto the weyrling's legs--and incidently pinning him to the couch. L'nar pulled back and gave D'cal a lust filled grin even as his fingers started to work on the laces of the bluerider's tunic. "Want to see how unconfusing things can be when there aren't any female hormones to mess it up?" That sounded like a challenge, and D'cal was in no mood to back down from a challenge. He batted L'nar's hands away and pulled the tunic over his head.
"I might get even more confused with no female hormones involved. But it sure doesn't hurt as much."
Stripping his own shirt off, L'nar slid his fingers into D'cal's hair again and gave him another long kiss, letting his fingers wander after a few moments. Then he pulled back and grinned. "Don't worry, handsome. I'll show you anything you want to know." "Yeah, well right now I don't know anything. So I guess you're just going to have to show me everything."
That wasn't a problem for L'nar, who was more than willing to show D'cal at great length all the things he'd been missing out on. He took his time, teasing the bluerider without mercy, doing his best to drive him to agressiveness. In D'cal current state of mind, aggressiveness was only a few pushes away.
He not only willingly accepted L'nar's attentions, but soon began recipricating, letting every repressed fantasy bubble to the surface. Moans and growls mixed as the bluerider let go of his inhibitions, fueled by anger and lust.
They ended up in a sweaty tangle of limbs, with L'nar's face pressed into D'cal's shoulder as he struggled for breath. "Shards, if that was the _first_ time, I can't wait for next time!" Granted, the release that had come from the bluerider letting go of turns of repression probably wasn't something that could be duplicated, but D'cal certainly had enough passion to make things interesting in the future. D'cal also was fighting for breath, and fighting for control. His anger had lost it's edge but now he felt like everything in his life was suddenly rushing forward, and he was lost in the momentum of the moment. First kissing Zanie, then sleeping with Kisdra, then walking in on Dyaera, and now this? It was all so fast... too fast... His mind reeled as he tried to take it all in, but just couldn't.
}: I'm here, D'cal. I'm with you. What's wrong? You enjoyed that. :{ The bluerider couldn't help it, tears just started welling up in his eyes.
The anger was gone up, but the pain and the confusion lingered. He wipped at his eyes, not wanting L'nar to see.
L'nar noticed anyway, and a mild feeling of guilt rose up in him as he propped himself up on one elbow. "Hey, are you all right?" D'cal just nodded, not wanting to speak because he knew his voice would betray him. He wanted to leave, to jump on Aosorath's back and go... To just think. But even that seemed confusing. What should he _say_ to L'nar now? What should he _do_? He had never been in this position with a woman, let alone a man.
"Liar," L'nar said softly, reaching up to touch D'cal's cheek gently. "I'm sorry. I thought you were ready..." "I was." At least, it sure seemed he was ready. "It's just... Dyaera...
and this... and some other things... I just need to go."
It figured Dyaera would find a way to ruin L'nar's fun without even being there. Sighing, the greenrider pushed himself up and found his pants. "Well, if you need to talk about it, you know where to find me. And we can talk. I promise." D'cal nodded as he threw his pants back on.
}:I'm coming to get you. I'll be there very soon. Don't worry, D'cal. I'm coming! :{ His little blue was sending thoughts of concern and undying love to his rider as he winged onto the ledge leading to L'nar's weyr.
"Aosorath is here. I have to go. I'm sorry, L'nar." The bluerider picked up his shirt and made for the ledge and the safety of his lifemate.
L'nar watched the weyrling flee his weyr and let out a long sigh. Then he found his shirt and tugged it over his head, determined to give Dyaera a scathing lecture before she managed to ruin an otherwise fine bluerider.
