"Hi, Kiala! Boy, it's nice to see a familiar face around here", Naemor greeted the other candidate.

Kiala smiled at Naemor and said gratefully, "It certainly is! Everything is just so busy around here!" Kiala had just arrived at Dolphin Cove Weyr a few days ago and already it felt like she'd been swept up in the preparations for the Hatching.

"Yeah, so it is. They are still cleaning up after the past month's storm,"
Naemor remarked.

"So I can see. I can't imagine there being so much water that t flooded the Lower Caverns and the Hatching Grounds. I just hope that the eggs made it through the whole experience alright," Kiala replied.

"Yes, so do I. It would be really horrible if the eggs didn't hatch because they had to be taken /between/ twice. Can you image what kind of disaster that would be," Naemor said and shook his head ruefully.

"I can't. So how have you been fitting in here with everyone?" Kiala replied.

"Quite well," Naemor shrugged. He never had problems to getting to know new people. He was social person.

"That's good. I've met so many new people, that I can't remember who is who!" Kiala said and smiled. "So have you been to visit the eggs yet?"

"No, but I did snuck to see them while they were on Dragons Fall's sands" Naemor replied and whispered in conspiratory tone.

Kiala laughed. "So did I! I thought no one else had. So how do you feel about Impressing? Will this be your lucky time?"

"I have good vibes about it. Somehow I feel it's my time now," Naemor replied. "How about you?"

"We'll see I suppose. If it's meant to be, it'll happen," Kiala said and shrugged. "I hope at least one of us Impresses though! It seems like we've been Standing for quite some time now."

"So have I, although not as long as you. My sister impressed from first Standing and she keeps teasing me because I haven't impressed yet. Maybe this time I do and she'll shut up," Naemor said.

"I wish we were as lucky!" Kiala said and sighed. "How would you feel about having to stay here though? Would that bother you?"

"No, not much. A bit anyway. I would miss my family, although it's nice not having mom fussing around me all the time," Naemor said.
Still, there was times when it felt _good_ to have mom fussing around him.

Kiala smiled and nodded. "Yes, I do have to admit it is nice to be on our own, however since I've been at Dragonsfall Weyr, I haven't had much of a chance to see my family anyways. It'll be nice when I Impress, though, to have a dragon that can take me to visit though."

Naemor nodded with understanding look. "I confess being rather nervous," he said.

"Me too," Kiala replied and sighed. "I suppose we'll just have to wait and see how things go, eh?"

"Yes, just wait and see, " Naemor replied with impatient sigh.
