Not a good day to fly.

Writers: Roxanne
Date Posted: 30th April 2007

Characters: C'lor
Description: C'lor is awakened by the weather and watches the storm from his ledge.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 3, day 19 of Turn 4

The thunder was loud enough to wake the bronze who in turn woke his rider. }:C'lor! Wake up!:{ he called urgently from his couch. He wasn't going to let his rider sleep if he couldn't. It didn't look like it was going to stop raining today.

**What?** the bronzerider asked as he sat up. It was still very dark outside, but there was rain so it could be any time of day. He wanted nothing more than to curl up under his furs and go back to sleep.

}:I can't sleep anymore.:{

**I can.** he replied and proceeded to go back to sleep.

}:But I'm scared!:{ the bronze said a few moments later after a particularly loud bout of thunder.

**You shouldn't be scared. It's just thunder, Hayreith. We've done drills in stormy weather before.** he said getting up and taking his blanket over to the bronze's couch. "Move over some and I'll sit here with you." he said aloud as he made himself as comfortable as he could on the cold stone.

}:Thank you.:{ Hayreith said as he made room for his rider. He hadn't been _that_ scared of the thunder, but it seemed to have gotten his rider up out of bed. It was not a day for flying and the bronze was more than willing to stay in his weyr until further notice when the call went out.

C'lor wondered how bad the storm was going to get and wasn't surprised when Hayreith relayed the message to not fly until further notice. He hadn't been looking forward to going out into the rain if he didn't have to, but he would have to make a trip to check on the weyrlings sometime this morning.

For now he was content to curl up by his dragon and listen to the rumbling of the thunder. It calmed him and made him feel safe next to his bronze.
