B'drin was on the beach with Lumyth. His brown was splashing in the water, enjoying it's gently caress. B'drin smiled as he looked up and down the beach. He was alone. He laid down in the sand and closed his eyes as he let the sun shine over him. He nearly fell asleep when a shadow fell across him. He didn't want to open his eyes, "I do believe something or someone has stolen my sunshine."
"My apologies!" Syntara gasped and seemed to be genuinely sorry, but all the while knowing what she was doing. "I'll settle somewhere out of your way!" She stripped off her top her of clothing and stteled into the sand a few lengths away.
"It's alright. I'm used to it. That big lug out there tends to come and steal it all the time. I'm B'drin by the way." He smield as he sat up and looked over at her.
"Syntara." She gave a little curtsey. "Faylith is my green, and it looks like the little flirt is already acquainting herself with your brown."
"I'm sure he doesn't mind. He can be a flirt all on his own." He smield as his brown spread his wings. He was trying to show off. He was one of the largest browns from his clutch. His color was deep and almost bronze in color. His wingsails were an even darker shade. B'drin loved to watch his handsome brown show off for the greens.
"Well then, perhaps their riders can get along as well as they seem to be..." She settled in the sand a short distance away, but not too far for any conversation the pair may want to engage in.
"I wouldn't mind finding out." He smiled as he turned over to face her.
"I've seen you a couple times around, but never really had a chance to get to know you. So, how long you been at the weyr?"
Syntara fought the temptation to laugh at him. **He's 'seen me around'
-
how long have I been here?!**
}: Syntara, behave. Maybe he's not very experienced with women yet. :{ Faylith chided her rider.
**All right, all right.** The greenrider composed herself. "I've been here for about a half a turn now. How long have you been here?"
"Only about a turn before I impressed. I spent a lot of time in the Kitchens." He smiled appologeticaly. "It seems that I have not been a very observant person. I am sorry I have not introduced myself before today. How can I make it up to you beautiful lady?" B'drin was not above flirting. He just didn't do it often enough.
The greenrider shrugged a shoulder. "Be creative."
He smiled. A thought came to mind as he quickly stood and walked over to her. "Perhaps I could intice you for a swim?"
Syntara smiled. "I think you could." The water looked clear and refreshing and she did like to swim. She stood beside him and headed for the water.
He quickly dropped his tunic on the ground and followed her. He came up behind her and scooped her up. He carried her to the water and made as if to drop her in. "Now should I just toss you or walk out till you are in the water?" He said with a soft playful smile. He had opened up a bit since coming to the weyr.
"You say that like you'll get that far." She purred and used her fingers to toy with the baby hairs on the back of his neck. She had several tricks up her sleeve and if he got to his waist in the water she'd personally congratulate him.
He smiled as he took a few steps, then a few more. In the end he was up to his waist and she was suspended above the waves. "Should I let go?"
He asked coyly.
"I don't think you will." She laughed and held on a little tighter, just in case. "You wouldn't want to be _that_ mean!"
"Oh dear me. Now I'm stuck for what to do. What ever shall I do." He had noticed her tightened grip. He made as if to drop her, but only let go of her legs. He actually like her arms about his neck.
Syntara let out a very undignified scream as her legs dropped into the water - which was rather colder than she had expected. She gasped a few times and, removing her hands from his neck, crossed them over her stomach and shifted her weight to one leg. "That was not very nice, B'drin."
B'drin was seriously chargrined. He put his arms around her to warm her up. "I'm sorry. How can I make it up to you?" He wasn't very good at this flirting thing.
Syntara shrugged a little and then after a brief smile she leaned in and kissed soundly. That would surely make it up to her.
B'drin was shocked at first and then he kissed in return. It was his first kiss after all and he wanted to make it matter. He put his arms around her and pulled her closer. He let one hand carress her back as he did so.
Even for his lack of experience, it wasn't a bad kiss, the greenrider reflected. "All better." She smiled girlishly and tried to read B'drin's response to the kiss.
"Good, perhaps you would allow me to further apologize by making you a wonderful picnic meal for the next restday?" He smiled.
"Perhaps you'd like to stop trying so hard? Relax, I'm not this much work - but... that does sound lovely." She smiled. It'd been a long time since she'd been so sweetly and innocently romanced and, frankly, was enjoying it.
"Good." He smiled.
