N'kalen smiled at the greenrider next to him.
"Cherlyn, isn't it? My duty to your dragon."

Cherlyn's nose was yet again in a book about pregnancy. She started at the bluerider. She looked up at him. "Oh, thank you. And my duty to yours..."
Cherlyn struggled to find his name. Since her pregnancy she had met all sorts of people. What was it with people and pregnant women?

"N'kalen, rider of blue Myanth. Reading anything interesting and...stimulating?"

Stimulating? What in Faranth's name did he mean by stimulating? "Not really, its about pregnancy sypmtoms and development." She looked at the cover of the book. hse turned and offered him her hand. "And I'm Cherlyn, Lueanths rider."

"Pregnancy? Are you a healer, as well as a beautiful rider?"

Cherlyn laughed openly at that. "No I'm not a healer.
It may not look it but I accidently concieved during my last flight." She couldn't remember the last time someone had noticed her long enough to flirt. It was nice.

"Ahh I see. So, how far along are you?"

"Not as far as I'd like to be. Its very dry." She scoffed at the book. "And cute men looking over my shoulder aren't exactly helping." Where had that come from? The words just kind of spilled out. But too late now.

N'kalen grinned. "Well, if the book is so dry, how about taking your mind off of it for a bit?"

That got Cherlyn to blush a deep red. On the one hand she was very flattered, on the other, she wasn't so sure she was ready for it yet. "You... you don't mind that I'm pregnant?" Her voice was very small, almost a whisper.

"Not a bit. I see no reason why I should. You're still a beautiful woman."

That confession only made her blush harder. Her _beautiful_? No one had ever said that before.
Despite her nervousness, she grinned. "I'd like that."

"What would you like to do? The sky's the limit!"

She blushed a deep crimson. "Sorry. I guess I should let you decide. I've never done this much outside of a flight."

N'kalen's expression slid into a slow, sultry smile.
"Well, we can start with a kiss." He leaned forward, and let his lips gently brush against hers. He then pulled away for a moment before leaning close again, this time applying more pressure.

Cherlyn's eyes flew open at his brazen attitude. She pushed him off her before he could get to involved.
"I'm Sorry. I can't do this." She stood and rushed off, thoughts of J'ren, her unborn child, and her holdbred ideals running through her head.

When she got to her weyr, out of breath and shaken, she curled up onto Lueanth's couch, crying into her dragon's green hide. Finding comfort in Lueanth's presence. Her confusion hiding the fact that she'd forgotten her book with N'kalen.
