Make Something Sweet For Me

Writers: Anwen, Cali
Date Posted: 27th January 2007

Characters: Jielta, Salenti
Description: Jielta escorts a Journeyman around the Hall and gets flirted with.
Location: Vintner Hall
Date: month 1, day 8 of Turn 4

Journeyman Salenti pulled up in front of the main entrance to the Vintner Hall and jumped off cart that was carrying the table Master Danery had wanted Master Fielton to examine. Tying the runner's reins over the hitch post, Salenti gave a friendly wave to a drudge pulling greenery and walked inside. Jielta was always excited to greet visitors. Male visitors especially these days. "Hello and welcome to the Vintner Hall," she said happily, as she walked over to the stranger.

"Well hello yourself." Salenti said with a grin, nothing like being greeted by a beautiful girl to make the day easier. "I'm Journeyman Salenti. I have a table for Master Fielton to inspect." "I'm his daughter, Jielta. I'm not certain where he is right now, but I'd be happy to help you find him."

Salenti counted his good luck for pulling this assignment, before replying with charm, "I'd be most appreciative to have you for an escort."

Jielta smiled at him, then motioned for him to follow her. "We'll try his office first, that's the most likely place for him to be."

"So Jielta," Salenti started as he walked with her, "I've been working on the Tavern for the last sevenday and haven't seen you around. Where do you hide yourself all day?"

"Everyone has been busy with Turn's End and all," the young woman said coyly. "I suppose I must have been spending a lot of time in the kitchens lately. After all the extra cooking for the celebrations they need help getting everything back in order."

Boy was she beautiful...and she could cook too! "Were you the one supplying us starving woodsmith with all the satisfying snacks while we were working?" She laughed. "Well, I'd hardly say I was the only one.
There are lots of cooks, and pretty much every meal is a group effort. I usually prefer to bake instead of cook. Sweets are my specialty!"

"Oh?" Salenti said casually as he let his fingers brush innocently against hers as they walked side by side, "Maybe you'll make something sweet for me sometime?"

Jielta blushed, flattered by his flirting. "This is my father's office," she said, knocking briskly on his door. They waited, but there was no response.

"Now that's a shame," the journeyman exclaimed, not at all sorry the Hallmaster was nowhere to be found, "It appears we'll have to look elsewhere for him I suppose." "We'll try the dining hall next," Jielta offered.
"He might be having a late lunch."

Salenti was pretty sure he would follow this charming lady wherever she wanted to go. "To the Dining Hall it is then."
