Awkward Bathing

"Wake up!" Belamick hissed into Ioporol's ear as he shook the candidate's shoulder.

"Wha...why?" Ioporol lifted his face from his pillow, his eyes only half open. He snapped up suddenly, wide awake. "Is it the eggs?"

Belamick shook his head and motioned for his friend to stay quiet. "No, it's not the eggs. I want to head down to the bathing pool before everybody wakes up."

"Oh, a bath..." Ioporol was so glad for the lack of lit glows in the Candidate Barracks, his blush was so full right now, Ioporol was almost sure he was lighting up the Barracks by himself. "Good Idea." He tired to sound cheerful, not scared out of his mind, but his voice was a bit squeaky and not at all confidant.

His friend took no notice, "The last time I went, two girls got in after me and I had the most embarrassing sprint to my clothes! I don't know how you're supposed to learn to not let two beautiful naked bodies affect you!"

Ioporol cleared his throat. "It's difficult. But most greenriders find it cute when that happens. You may never get used to it. But when you Impress bronze you'll have your own bathroom, so there'll be no problem." He gather his stuff slowly, trying to take as long as possible. Maybe Belamick would go without him if he took long enough.

"Well, if _you_ impress bronze instead, I'm coming over to use your bath!" he emphatically stated, he didn't care how long it took Ioporol to get ready, he wasn't going to the pool alone!

**Yeah but would you stay to use more than the bath?**
Ioporol asked silently. The two lads walked to the bathroom. As they got ready for the baths, Ioporol hoped that there were some greenriders, female candidates, anyone he could push any effect of his body off on.

And he was in luck. Belamick groaned slightly as he saw a man and two women on one side of the bathing pool having a quiet conversation. He waved back as they acknowledged their presense. "Let's stick to the other end." he said quietly. "Yeah," was all Ioporol said. He glanced at the people on the other side of the room. He did a double take. He _knew_ that particular man. It was one of the few guys who knew his secret. He turned his back to them and began to scrub fast. He would wait for Belamick outside. This was getting to creepy.

Belamick couldn't help but chuckle as slid into the water and began to scrub too, "So much for you being more aclimated to the Weyr, you seem more nervous than me! I'm just glad those girls are giving all their attention to _that_ guy."
**Just let that be enough attention for him, before he notices me.** "Yeah, I guess I'm not as used to it as I thought." Ioporol grinned, the blush on his cheek deepening. He dunked his head under to wash out the sweetsand. "I think I'm done." He said after he surfaced. "I'll just wait for you outside." He tried to keep his voice down, so the rider wouldn't notice.

"What?" Belamick hissed as he grabbed Ioporol by the arm and pulled his friend against him. "You can't leave without me!"

Ioporol hadn't thought his blush could be any darker, he was wrong. "Then get out with me." He hissed, backing away.

The candidate released his grip on Ioporol, confused by his friend's reaction. "Fine!" he said tartly as he got out of the water and grabbed his towel. "What's wrong with you? What'd I do?" "Nothing." Ioporol snapped wrapping his towel firmly around his waist and stalked to his clothes.

Belamick pursed his lips, it just wasn't like Ioporol to act this way, especially around _him_! He glanced over at the three in the pool, they were not watching them and whispering to eachother. Grabbing his clothes, Belamick dressed in silence, barely keeping up with Ioporol as he quickly left the room. Whatever it was, it was _really_ upsetting Ioporol, and he wasn't sure if he wanted to press the issue!
