Selka ran up the gangplank and into her father's arms. Shards, but it was hard for Supaka not to follow her daughter's example. "Well, when you said you'd be home for Turns End, I didn't know you'd cut it so close," she said, knowing her smile was as much anxious and relieved as it was happy to see him. They had never been seperated this long before. She just wanted to pull Kessel down to her and kiss him deep enough to silently ask to ask him if he missed her as much as she missed him, to touch every inch of his skin to know how it had changed in her absence.

"Hello little fish," Kessel rubbed his nose with his daughter's. "Sorry, love, we run into some bad weather. You know how it is," the captain said and hold his arm open in invitation.

The journeywoman sighed as she slipped comfortably under his arm and wrapped hers around him. She eased up a bit as her daughter protested the tight squeeze. "I'm glad you're home safe."

"Not as glad as I'm to be here. Shards I missed you two."

"Daddy, I want to go below!" Selka squeeled as she tried to escape from her father's arms. Now that she had confirmed that he had not changed, she had to explore the rest of the ship to assure herself her former home was still the same as she had left it.

"Sure, go ahead, but don't get in the way of men unloading the cargo,"
Kessel chuckled and lowered her down.

"Oh, don't worry. She knows better," Supaka said, smiling up at her husband, studying his face. "You look tired, love."

"I am. Without you to tell me when to get to bed..." Kessel said and his voice trailed suggestively.

His wife's fingers trailed along his spine. Shards, she wanted to take the hint and lead him straight into their cabin and make love to him to the gentle motion of the boat. "You know, the boys have always watched out for Selka... They wouldn't let her get into any trouble... for a while at least..."

"I know, I've just being over-cautions after not seeing her such a long time."

"Well, we have tonight too," she said, her smile just faltering slightly. Of course, he was right. And he needed to spend time with their daughter too. But shells, she just wanted to be selfish and keep him all to herself. Leaning up she kissed him softly, reluctantly accepting that she would just have to wait a little longer.

Kessel was awfully tempted to just carry her into his cabin and lock the door. But he still have work to do. He let out a sigh.
