"Cherlyn!" called out the young greenrider. "How're you today?"
Cherlyn looked over her shoulder at the approaching greenrider. She waved cheerfully. "Fine, and yourself?" she called back.
"Good. You?" she continued.
"I'm fine." she replied to the other greenrider.
"How did you drills go today?"
"Not bad, just glad I don't have search duty to do as well. At least not for a while."
Cherlyn smiled at that fact. "Me too. I don't think I could deal with Lueanth poking her nose at Holders."
she blushed slightly. "So um... have any plans tonight?"
"Not yet," replied her fellow greenrider. "I hadn't decided on anything in particular yet."
Cherlyn nodded, her schedule was open as well. She smiled as they kept walking, naturally gravitating to the Dining Cavern. Enticing smells of dinner wafting to their noses. "Mind if we eat together?" It was a casual question for most people, but Cherlyn had always had trouble with people, so the question meant a lot to her.
"Not at all!" Oria hadn't been looking specifically for anyone, but it was always nicer to have the company.
"Thanks." Cherlyn said as they finally reached the end of the serving line. "Hows life been for Oria?" she asked over her shoulder as she picked up a tray.
"Pretty good, Degrorth was really into drills today."
"Lueanth too. She seems to be putting on an extra show these last few weeks." Cherlyn smiled at her dragons antics. "Like she's making up for lost time or something."
"Either that or she's getting ready to rise."
"I don't think so, she just rose less than two sevenday's ago." Cherlyn smiled reminiscently of that life altering flight.
"Maybe she's picking something up from you then?"
"I don't know, maybe." Cherlyn didn't think on it much until she got to the food. The smell, which had been enticing from afar, suddenly had the power to make her sick to her stomach. "Uhhh, maybe I won't eat anything after all. I'm not very hungry all of a sudden." She shook her head to dispel the bad feeling.
"You aren't coming down with something?"
"I don't know. But food just seems to be very unappetizing at the moment." She moved down the line, ignoring the food as best she could.
"Must be one of those things," said the other with a shrug.
"Must be." Cherlyn shrugged back and sat at a table.
Her plate relatively empty. She moved her food around with her fork, suddenly tired.
"Not hungry tonight? I thought you'd change your mind when you got here." Oria grinned as she poured some water out. "Have a drink at least," she suggested as she tucked into her own plate of fish, vegetables and tubers.
"Thanks." Cherlyn sipped at the water, wondering what was wrong with her. She clutched the cup in her hands, looking into its liquid depths. "Sorry about this. I didn't plan on getting sick." she smiled meekly.
"Hey, I'm a healer, so I know that much, but if you still feel bad tomorrow, go and make an appointment to see a journeyman for a checkup." A faint possibility emerged in her mind, but she didn't want to make something out of it, just in case. "I think Polada might be free tomorrow, she's good."
"I'll do that thanks." Cherlyn said looking up from her cup. The end of her word turned into a yawn. "Sorry, I'm just so tired. I think I'm gunna to go to bed." She rose from her place at the table. "I'll see what tomorrow brings. Thanks for sitting with me." Cherlyn smiled. "It was nice to talk to someone."
"No problem."
"I guess I'll see you then." Cherlyn said with weak wave.
"You will," replied Oria.
