J'darin

J'darin

He burned. Something like scorching fire pushed him from the Flight room and mating cots nearby. He wanted none of these willing hands and eager eyes that searched under his tunic for skin. None of them. Hasaarth was defeated, trying to come down again, and his aching, unfulfilled need echoed J'darin's own. But who did he want? Traelyn wasn't here, she had taken Nyith and gone as soon as Ikoladith trumpeted her intentions. But he wasn't sure he wanted her. Well, he was sure he _did_ want her..
but there was another face swimming in his mind.

A smile led him on, a beautiful smile. **So beautiful when she smiled. **

He ran toward her Weyr, a dim memory of its location in his mind, hoping she was home first, and that she'd let him in second. If she wouldn't.. well, he'd left plenty of willing ladies behind him. J'darin found her before he reached the Weyr, watching the dragons overhead with wide eyes and flushed cheeks. It was clear she'd been drawn to the sight of a gold flight like so many of the Weyr's residents, but now seemed unable to tear her eyes from the sky.

"Maurgen?" He said when he found her in the bowl on his way. Stumbling to a halt as he stared at her flushed face and wide eyes. So beautiful.. His voice was husky with need, just short of demanding.
"Maurgen... " He touched her shoulder, a hundred questions in his blue eyes, darkened now to nearly black with Flight induced desire. "W-weyrleader?" The innocence of her face was completely contradicted by the look in her eyes--every bit as wide as usual, but filled with her awareness of him as a man as well as something else... Something far deeper than mere lust.

"No." He said firmly. "J'darin... " he was almost undone by the look in her eyes, but turns as a bronzerider gave him just enough control to say softly.
"I need you. And not to sketch.." Shards.. what if she was a virgin?
She could be.. but she'd been in the Weyr for turns now.. A wave of guilt washed over him and he hesitated touching her again. Was he wrong? He was fighting a losing battle against the dragon-lust but breathed out the words, "You can say no, Maurgen... But it was your smile that led me here."

"J'darin." It was the first time she'd said his name, and her voice was warm and low. She slipped her hand into his, an innocent touch. The look in her eyes as she spoke wasn't innocent at all, though. "Yes." He would have taken her there in the weyrbowl had he thought she would ever forgive him, but instead he pulled her into his arms and found her body fit so wonderfully against his that he had to battle once more to keep from falling to the ground. "My weyr is not so far... " Unable to restrain himself, he bowed his head and kissed her.
Dragon-laced passion burning from his lips. He released her lips only to gather her smaller, slight body into his arms.
He was going to carry her, he thought, and shard whoever commented on the Weyrleader carrying a young woman across the bowl. Maurgen was oblivious to anything but the fact that J'darin, the man she had idolized from afar and barely had the courage to talk to, was sweeping her away to his weyr. Her lips still tingled from the force of his kiss, and the arms around her were everything she'd dreamed they'd be. He did carry her, and was oddly gentle with her as he lay her on his bed.
He began undressing both of them with an almost frantic need for skin against skin, but he paused in his actions to speak quietly, "Maurgen, have you ever been with a rider who lost a Flight? Are you sure you want me?
It was even more than a green.. it was a gold..." He knew, though, that sometimes flights for golds were so strong the entire Weyr went looking for bedmates. His hands were caressing her everywhere he could reach, and he leaned his head down to kiss her neck while he waited. He was on the edge of mindlessness, and knew once he stopped fighting it, he'd sweep both of them away. But he needed her to say that it was okay for their first time to be this way.. dragon-fueled and whatever else the rising passion in him demanded. Maurgen's breath caught as his hands caressed down her sides and across her stomach, her eyes drifting shut. There was hardly enough presence of mind left for her to realize he was asking a question, but when his hands stilled, she whimpered and opened her eyes again, her fingers clutching at his shoulders. "Don't stop, J'darin! Please--"

That was all the bronzerider managed to hear before he lost all thought, and gave himself up to finding pleasure for them both. His kisses, hands, lips were tracing the contours of her body, slipping them both completely from their clothes and rolling so she was on top of him. She stared down at him, trying to memorize the look on his face, in his eyes... pretending it had nothing to do with a lost flight and instead was all for her. The knowledge that she might never have this chance again swept away any lingering doubts, and she surrendered to their mutual need for release. It had everything to do with a lost flight, and nothing. He made love to her in the easy, lingering way he had, although it was driven by a need beyond both of them until they collapsed in spent desires, sleeping curled together in his bed. Maurgen slept soundly, snuggled trustingly against J'darin's chest with her tossled hair shielding her face. Even when he stirred she didn't wake, mumbling something sleepily and cuddling closer to him.

J'darin responded by pulling her in closer and kissing the top of her head.
The flight lust was banished, but a purer desire was rising in him as he felt her move so trustingly against him. Here was a woman who _needed_
him.
His smile was bright as he leaned closer to her and whispered softly in her ear. "Maurgen? Are you awake?"

"Mmmmmm..." She tilted her head to the side, letting her hair slide out of her face, though she didn't open her eyes. "Should I be?"

"If you're interested in exploring the ...after the Flight.. so I can apologize in the most wonderful of ways.." He smiled down at her, even though she couldn't see him, and kissed her closed eyelids. "There are advantages to be a dragonrider's lover, you know." He said softly, moving his kiss down further along her sweet face. Her eyelids fluttered open as she smiled up at him. "Whatever would you need to apologize for?" she asked drowsily, lifting her fingers to brush a few stray strands of hair from his forehead. "only for not being fully present the first time I took you to bed, lovely Harper. I intend on making that up to you, though. Perhaps now?" His hands trailed down her side, caressing lightly then bending down to kiss her jawline. It was even better than her fantasies, and she closed her eyes again to fix the moment in her mind even as her hands came up to sink into his hair.
"I think I'd like that," she said breathlessly. A soft moan as she put her hands in his hair led to him pulling her smaller, slight body atop his own and capturing her there. He buried himself in her kiss, wondering why it had taken him so long to find her.
