Ninaine stared at the pile of clothes that T'lat had tossed out of her
wardrobe. Nearly all of her tunics were in the pile; he'd tossed out
all but two of her favorites that she insisted she keep for lounging
about in her weyr. He'd all but dived in when she'd asked for his help
and seemed to be determined to get her in the new clothes that he
single-handedly picked out for her from the available stores. Some of
the dresses and tops seemed down-right scandalous to her, especially
the one she'd just managed to pull down her body.
The green color was indeed pretty, but Faranth, it clung to every inch
of her to the knee and exposed the top halves of her breasts in a
blatant display of her femininity that she wasn't sure she could pull
off. The light corset she wore beneath it smoothed down her tummy and
gave her bosom a heft that she felt was almost explosive. "T'lat...I
can't wear this." She pulled at the material slightly, tugging it away
from her hips. "It...it clings. It shows _everything_. Can't I just
wear those tops you picked out? The ones that don't make me feel like
I'm about to pop out of the material?"
"They're supposed to honey," he said and pushed her breasts together
to plump them up even more. "That way when we go out together, any man
who doesn't want _me_ will want you!"
"Oof! Stop that. " Ninaine lightly smacked at his hands, but there was
no real aggression in the movement. "You'll pop them out. It's not
cleavage, it's cliff-age right now and _any man_ will be waiting to
see if they explode out of this thing. You might miss out." She tugged
at the neckline, but didn't manage to do much more than move it
upwards just a little. She looked down at herself and her cheeks
brightened. "When would I ever wear this anyway? And how am I supposed
to move in it?" **Or take a deep breath without flashing everyone?**
"Oh I never miss out unless they're bronzeriders or brownriders." he
strutted away from her in skin tight green leather. "They can't resist
this," he patted his bottom. "But all _you_ have to do in that outfit
is take a deep breath and every female loving male will come to attention."
Her brows shot up and she palmed her face, turning red even as she
couldn't help but laugh at his antics. "You're awful, but I really
wish I had your confidence." She slid her hands down the dress, noting
how it tucked in around her waist. "I can't just stand in the middle
of the dining hall and just _breathe_. Can you imagine?" She tried
walking in the dress, moving carefully as slowly took small steps, her
back ramrod straight and stiff.
"No," he smiled. "You're going to walk through the room and they'll
follow you anywhere."
Ninaine snorted softly. "No one's ever followed me like that except
Luneth, you know." She took a shallow breath and turned. "I don't know
how other women do it. I've been watching other greenriders, T'lat.
They turn heads. I walk into a room and feel like I'm clomping around
in boots."
"That's because you're clomping around in boots." He smiled at her,
"You need some nice high slippers. You know, the ones the blooded
ladies wear at the Hold?"
Ninaine's eyes widened. Lady Benani had some of those types of
slippers, but it wasn't often that she wore them. She'd never worn
anything like them. "Yes, but I've never worn anything like them. I
don't have any. And they look really uncomfortable." But she had
noticed that when Lady Benani wore them, Zathris paid much more
attention and the Lady seemed to sway when she walked.
"Oh yes, they can be uncomfortable." he nodded. "But totally worth
it." He put a finger against one cheek and shot his lip as he thought.
"You know? I'll bet one of the leather workers could make you a pair."
"Worth it? But..." Her voice trailed off. When T'lat had agreed to
help her, she'd agreed to go by what he decided as far as her
clothing. "Well..uh...I guess I'll have to learn how to walk in them."
"Yes you do," he smiled. "and I'll teach you how to sway those
assets," he grinned at her.
She stared at T'lat, swallowed and nodded. He could sway his hips
better than most women could, so if there was anyone who could teach
her, it would be him. "Alright. I can do this. I'll just keep telling
myself that."
"Good," he smiled at her. "First thing you're going to do is stand up
straight and pull your shoulders back. Tighten your stomach muscles."
Ninaine straightened, pulling her shoulders back as she tightened her
stomach. She noticed immediately that the change in posture thrust her
chest upwards and out, her cleavage filling the low cut dress. She
knew how to walk straight with a stiff spine, but had never displayed
so much skin.
"One more thing," he said and tilted his head. "You know how men walk,
imagine N'call walking to his dragon. His feet are about a foot apart
as he's striding toward Haloth right?"
Ninaine nodded. She definitely knew how N'call walked; she often
watched him walking...if only to watch his bottom. "Sure. But his
bottom doesn't sway. It kind of flexes..." Her voice trailed off and
she flushed, then cleared her throat. "No swaying."
"Aw cummon Ninaine," T'lat made a face at her. "Just a little. It's
easy watch my feet." He turned and walked away from her placing each
foot nearly in front of the last one as he took each step. His hips
swayed naturally but slightly exaggerated. He squared up when he
reached the wall, turned and threw out a hip, put his hand on it
smiled at her. "It's either this or bounce and you might put an eye
out with those babies." He turned up a hand pointing at her chest.
Taking a breath, Ninaine walked, mimicking T'lat's walk. Her hips
swayed enticingly with the movement, her upright spine posture
accentuating her generous curves. As silly as it initially felt, she
began to grow comfortable with it and her chin lifted as she turned to
walk away from T'lat on her way back. Her arms loosened, moving with
the motion of her hips and turning the walk into a seductive siren
call. As she reached her spot, she turned and like he had done, placed
her hand on her hip.
"Oh yes," he clapped his hands together. "That was much more like Lady
Saibra... beautiful. Now if you'll do that walk stop, turn and look at
the one you want." He watched her face start to scrunch up. "No, not
that face! Just look and smile and flick your hair behind your
shoulder then turn and walk away again."
"So it was okay?" Ninaine exhaled, then feeling rather proud of
herself, smiled and flicked her hair over her shoulder. "But who do I
try it out on? I mean, I'm not going to bring anyone back to my bed
or anything, but I could practice...can't I?"
"Hmmm," he mused while tapping his chin with a finger. "Should be
someone we know is friendly but not pushy. A bluerider would be nice,
they always hope but don't expect, if you know what I mean."
"Right...." Ninaine's voice trailed off. She knew plenty of riders by
sight and name, but very few personally. She'd honestly avoided
getting close to any rider besides a very few. Her brow knit. "Maybe
you can point one out or something?" The whole goal of this was to
make an entrance into the dining cavern, but maybe that would be too
much? **No...I'm going to do it. I told myself I would.**
"Just," T'lat looked a little embarrassed "Please don't pick K'mai,"
he asked in a small voice.
Ninaine blinked in surprise. "K'mai? Why would I pick him? He's...too
much." She paused, then studied T'lat, her brows rising. "Oh...you
like him. T'lat I won't. I promise. Are you both...." she waved her
hands, "together now?"
"Oh no," he waved his hands. "Not together just..." well he really
didn't know what they were but he liked K'mai very much. "We're good
friends." With all that implied. Even though it seemed a little lame.
"I could help you find one that prefers mostly women. Um there's S'lua
and D'nev, J'lor, P'ton, maybe T'rez."
One of those names made her flush a little. What would _J'lor_ say?
Probably would come and talk to her later about it. Besides, he knew
what she was doing, so she didn't think it would affect him as much.
"Well...just point one out to me when we go to the dining hall. That
way I won't worry about it." Ninaine tilted her head. "You want more
with K'mai?"
"Yes," he smiled with a little twinkle, "But I'm not going to run
after him like a lovesick boy. He's a man with many interests, I doubt
I'm high on his list. I mean, I haven't even stopped growing yet," he
laughed at himself. "Do I even know what I want?" He shrugged. "I have
fun with him when we're together." Then he tilted his head. "Are you
trying to throw me off track," his eyes narrowed.
"I'm sure you do know," She then twisted her lips up into a smile that
attempted innocence. "Me? Well...maybe. But we can't talk about me all
the time."
"This," he said shaking his finger up and down pointing at her body,
"Is _all_ about you," he nodded. "You're not throwing me off track
that easy sis."
Ninaine sighed, acquiescing. "I know. So...try in two evenings at the
Dining Hall? I hope you're right about this. I don't want to make a
fool out of myself."
"Trust me," he shook his head. "You won't look like a fool. You'll do
just fine. Now, walk for me again. Shoulders back."
