Timassa

Aibra had been cleared to start going /between/ as needed during her
pregnancy, but it still didn't stop her from being nervous as she gave
Far Island's coordinates to Chioneth. The queen bugled her farewell to
the watchdragon on duty at Dragonsfall, and then within a heartbeat
and a flash /between/ they were in the skies above Far Island, where
she bid a welcome to the dragon on duty there.

}:The green's ledge is small,:{ Chioneth said as she made for Saryolth's weyr.

**You just have to land there for a moment to let me off and then you
can go and stretch out wherever you would like. Just be nice, this
isn't your Weyr.** Saibra said, tacking the last sentence on as a
sharp reminder.

Chioneth wasn't put off by her rider's quip, but instead amusement
bled through their mental link as she landed on the ledge and
crouched.

Saibra slid off and gave Chioneth a thump on the flank. The gold
turned and drifted off of the ledge, gliding down to land near some
other dragons at the weyrlake.

"Timassa?" she called, taking tentative steps towards the weyrcouch,
even though the greenrider should have been expecting her.

"Saibra!," Timassa greeted the goldrider with open arms. "What brings
_you_ here?"

Saibra returned the smile and hug, "I wish I could say that I was just
coming to visit my favorite clutchmate but there is a little more to
it than that."

"I kind of figured that," she grinned and tilted her head to lead
Saibra inside. "Want something to drink?"

"Sure, whatever you have is fine." Saibra took a seat as she watched
Timassa move about her weyr.

"Tea or klah, or something stronger?" Timassa took the few steps
across her tiny weyr to the small stand where she had a pot sitting.

"Tea, please." Saibra said.

Luckily that was the best choice and She pulled out a fresh tea ball
poured in some hot water and set it back down on the warmer. "Here you
go," she smiled and handed the goldrider the cup. "How are you liking
the cold at Dragonsfall?"

"I hated it at first," Saibra admitted as she took a sip of the tea,
"but it has rather grown on me. How have things been here?" It was
always interesting, returning to Far Island where she'd been raised.

"Boring," Timassa smiled. "I could use some new entertainment. How
about you? How is it being the Weyrwoman," she waggled her eyebrows.

"I won't lie," Saibra said, leaning forward, "it's good. The best part
is having Candidates at your beck and call for chores."

Timassa laughed. "Well that's only fair. You do have a lot more dragon to wash."

"That I do," Saibra agreed with a lift of her eyebrows. "So the reason
I came by, has to do with your sister. I just learned not long ago
that she and K'yne had a son together."

Timassa's look turned serious. "Yes, I met the kid. He's prickly like
his mother."

"Yes, I actually know him, very well. I was at Dolphin Cove while he
was a Candidate, and he was in the same Weyrling class as my
daughter." There was no reason to go into how she _really_ knew
J'ackt. "I was lucky enough, or unlucky really, to be present when
K'yne and J'ackt laid eyes on each other for the first time."

"I can imagine," she half smiled. "Didn't go very well for me either.
At least at first."

"J'ackt can be an acquired taste," Saibra smirked a little, "and so
can K'yne for that matter. I could ask J'ackt but I'm not sure he
would tell me if he knew why I wanted to know, but I was hoping you
might know where Ocktima is buried?"

Timassa's lips curved slightly. "I do," she said. "Did K'yne ask you
to find out?"

"No, I offered. He's been suffering from nightmares lately. I think it
would help him if he could go and say goodbye." Closure could be a
fickle thing.

"For you," she said softly. "I'll take you there. I've been doing a
little maintenance around the area." Timassa had spent many hours by
her twin's grave and worked through her own issues of grief and loss
there while she groomed the area and planted flowers nearby. She'd
raked away the greenery and covered much of the area in gravel. She'd
left the other grave in its native state other that kicking and
screaming at it from time to time.

"Thank you, Timassa, I know how much I'm asking." Saibra felt relieved
that the greenrider would show her.

She wasn't entirely sure she did know but she accepted the statement
at face value and nodded. "When do you wish to go?"

"Is now a good time?" she asked.

"As good a time as any," she smiled.
