Sophque

Sophque

She pushed away from the door and walked across the semi darkness
toward her bedroom. Fingers raised to lightly brush her lips and she
smiled with a flush of pleasure at the memory of Devren's kiss. So
very different from...

~~Flashback Begins~~

She chuckled as she cracked open the window. "What are you doing here
at this time of night," she asked in a whisper.

"How am I supposed to get to know you with your brothers always
hanging around," he said softly with a shrug and a grin. "Come down
here. Let's go for a walk."

"I shouldn't," she said. "You know they'll be angry with me if they
ever find out." But she dearly did want to. Inokin was big and
handsome and she really liked him... what would be the harm in a
little walk? They were doing it anyway in the daytime with everyone
watching.

"You have your own room. The only way they would know if is they hear
us, and the longer we stand here talking about it, the more likely
that is. Come on," he said, with a wave of his hand.

"Oh alright," she said and disappeared back inside to creep down the
stairs and out the back door.

"Come on," he whispered, taking her hand and leading her silently away
from the cot and towards the orchards her father tended. Inokin had
been impatient to get Sophque alone. After that first dinner, he had
convinced his friend Sollen to invite him around more often so he could steal

little moments to flirt with his sister. He had come very quickly to
realize there were true advantages to a wife and home in port. A home
cooked meal. A true roof over his head. A bath that wasn't shared
with his shipmates. Sex whenever he wanted it. This was the reason
men got married, and Inokin had decided he wanted to be part of it,
and this girl so far certainly seemed to tick all his boxes. After
asking her brother and father's permission, he had started the very
innocent process of courting the young lady, but that was getting old
quickly. Now he could finally get her alone and make sure she was
right for him!

She laughed as he pulled her along. "Inokin slow down," she finally
said. "I thought we were going to talk."

"Well yeah, but not where nosy neighbors might hear us." Or see them.
Of course they weren't going to _just_ talk. What a waste of an
opportunity!

"It's pretty out here at night," she smiled up at the sky. "What's it
like out to sea?" She was interested in him and his job as a
seacrafter. It seemed so romantic and exciting.

"Well, when the weather's clear at night, it looks like someone
sprinkled salt all over the sky, the stars are so clear and bright."
He wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer to his side
as he pointed up to a line of stars. "That's the hunter's arrow
pointing straight at the wherry over there."

The feel of his arm around her made her kind of breathless and her
mind went a little fuzzy, over loaded with the sensation. She barely
heard what he said but her eyes followed where he pointed and she did
think she could pick out the shapes he named. "I see it," she smiled
up at him, eyes shining.

Looking up at him, she certainly seemed willing. Inokin leaned down
and gently touched his lips to hers. He was not about to pass up an
opportunity like that!

She froze for a moment unable to even think. Then the gentle touch to
her lips made her arms creep around him and she made a tiny noise in
the back of her throat.

There was no doubt in his mind now that she was every bit as into this
idea as he was! Inokin turned his body so he could wrap his arm fully
around out her waist and curled is fingers into her hair, pulling her
even close as his opened slightly and his tongue teased her lip to ask
her to do the same.

As an innocent she didn't really understand what was happening and was
overwhelmed by the sensations traveling up and down her body. But she
knew she liked whatever this was. Her mouth seemed to open on it's own
as if her body knew what to do even if she didn't.

His hand slipped down her back to gently caress and then squeeze one
rounded cheek as his tongue danced along hers. He knew full well that
if Sollen could see him now his shipmate would kill him, but Inokin
didn't care. Sophque tasted better than any tavern wench in any port
he had ever put in to.

The touch on her backside startled Sophque and she pulled back.
"Inokin,"she whispered questioningly.

"What?" he asked, genuinely surprised that she had pulled back. "Did
you hear something?" Looking around, he could see no change in the
landscape. Only trees lit up by moonlight.

"N-no," she stammered, "I just.. no one's ever done that before."

"Well...it's... just part of kissing..." Inokin also was a little
flustered. How did she not know that? Everyone knew that, or so he
thought. And in his experience, that statement was true. Everything
he had learned about women and sex had come from shipmates and willing
sailor chasers. "You do like kissing, don't you?"

Her eyes were big in the dark as she looked up at him. "I don't know."
She wondered if she wasn't good at it or she'd said something wrong
and her brows knit together. "This is the first time."

Inokin frowned slightly. "Well... You either like it or you don't.
How can you not know if you like it or not?" First time he kissed a
girl, he knew right away just how much he liked it and everything that
followed. "I mean, you were kissing me back. You seemed to liked it
to me..."

"I like you," she smiled up at him. "I think I can like kissing too."

"Ok, good," he said, relieved that she wasn't some kind of freakish
girl who didn't like kissing. That would just never work! Taking her
positive reaction as her wanting to do more, he leaned in and placed
his hands as before and slowly began to kiss her once more. It wasn't
perfect yet, but this sure did beat sitting around with her brothers
watching!

This time it was more like she'd thought it would be. Not the hands,
that made her uncomfortable, but his lips were more gentle and it didn't
feel like he was trying to eat her face. She instantly felt bad for
thinking that and tried to kiss him back more like he was kissing her.

~~Flashback Ends~~

She'd known nothing back then. So very naive she'd accepted his
statements as fact and his actions as if she was honored. When in fact
warning drums were thumping in her mind and she should have said
something to her brothers. That was all water under the bridge now and
no longer mattered. Inokin was gone and could not longer take what he
wanted from her despite her own wishes.

She smiled when she thought of Devren. He was gentle, he hadn't taken
liberties and had treated her like a lady. **Yes,** she nodded to
herself. "I like him," she said
