Demir

Demir

He'd escorted his wife to her door as he did most nights and then gone
to his own room next door. That much was the usual formula, but
tonight things were going to be different. Tonight he would go through
the connecting door and show her how he actually felt.

He prepared himself dressing only in his pajama bottoms and a robe.
He'd taken a bath prior to having dinner with Rethisa. Not because
he'd planned this but because he'd been working all day and hadn't
wanted to show up to dinner smelling like he had.

He took a deep breath and walked to the door. Then with a rap on it
he opened the connecting door with a smile.

Rethisa stood in the middle of her bedroom in one of the silky, pale
blue nightgowns that had been made with the intention of being worn on
a honeymoon, of course, that had never happened, not with the lie she
had been carrying. She'd carefully removed the combs from her hair
and brushed out the platinum waves, letting them flow freely down her
shoulders.

Nerves made her fingers tremble a bit as smooth her hands down over
gown. She wasn't nervous about the intimacy that awaited her that
evening, she was worried about not being.. enough for Demir. He
deserved more than she knew how to give him.

She was a vision and he set aside the stubborn residue of hurt that
tried to rear its head. He'd turned away from her and the dream he'd
held in his heart for a love filled marriage. But he was no longer
going to deny himself the pleasure he hoped they could both find in
one another.

He reached out and fingered a single platinum curl that fell across
her shoulder. Then he smiled and stepped closer. He cupped the side of
her face and tilted his head to taste her lips.

Rethisa melded against her husband's work-toned body, her face tilted
up to his. Kissing with Demir was unlike anything she'd experienced in
her previous marriage. It had been a chore to be endured with Verlow,
but with Demir, she always wanted more.

The banked fire of desire swelled as she pressed against him. His body
stirred and he deepened the kiss wrapping his arms around her.

When they parted for air, she sighed against him, "I'm a little
nervous." She admitted.

Truth be told, so was he. Demir wasn't one to slake his desire with
random women so it had been quite a long time for him. He wasn't at
all certain he'd be able to take as much time as he wanted to give
her. But he smiled into the candlelight. "I'm sure it will come back
to you."

He picked her up and bent his head to kiss her again as he carried her
to the bed.

Even though he misunderstood her nerves, Rethisa took comfort in his
touch and the feel of his arms. He would never hurt her the way Verlow
had, she knew that, he'd shown he was a man of his word, over and over
again since the day of their wedding.

Once he placed her on the bed he shed his robe and draped it on the
foot of the bed. Climbing on next to her he reclaimed her lips again
while his hand began a gentle exploration of her body.

Rethisa surrendered to Demir completely, her skin tingling wherever
his hand touched. Instinctively she curled one leg over him, causing
her nightgown to ride up higher.

Her response encouraged him and he pulled back to look at her with a
tender smile. Then he began to truly make love to his wife. His hands
roamed her body and caressed her intimately and tenderly. When he
sensed she was ready for him he pushed up her gown.

There was a momentary flash of dread that came over her, resulting
from the Turns of rough treatment from Verlow, but everything with
Demir had been different so far. From their personal lives, to the way
he touched her, and there was no reason to think that would change
now. She didn't feel shy lying beneath him, her nightgown up, she felt
beautiful and wanted.

Senses heighten he felt a moment of hesitation from her so he changed
his mind and instead kissed her before moving down her body slowly
leaving a trail of kisses. He wanted to be certain she enjoyed this
experience as much as he did so he kissed and kissed until he found
what he wanted.

~~~Fade to black~~~
Rethisa cuddled into his side instinctively, feeling relieved, and
happy. Happy that her husband seemed pleased and happy that _she_ was
pleased.
He gathered her to him and kissed her forehead. "We can make this
marriage work Rethisa," he said softly and then reached to pull the
covers up around her. "We can be happy."
Closing her eyes, Rethisa made a contented noise and thought, **I already am.**
