}:I'm not blue:{ Apparently that was a bad thing for Axeth's rider.
She flew over to land next to Axeth, eyes lightly whirling with
concern. }:Why is that a problem? You are the color you are meant to
be.:{
}:He didn't think he should have impressed green. He's scared when
I…:{ She sent thoughts of a green dragon rising to mate.
}:Oh, my rider is scared of that, too. I tell him rising is normal and
good but he still has bad thoughts.:{ It worried her because she
didn't know how to fix it.
}:Maybe I can just - not rise.:{ Axeth said miserably.
Nalarith pressed comfortingly against her fellow green. }:Oh no, you
must rise. All greens must rise.:{
}:But- what if I do it wrong? I haven't done it before. What if I mess
up and everyone laughs at me?:{ Axeth crooned softly.
}:No one will laugh and you will not do it wrong. When it is your
time, you will know what to do,:{ Nalarith spoke with authority,
although she was no more experienced than Axeth.
}:Do you promise?:{ Axeth asked. Not that she'd remember it later anyway.
Nalarith crooned, rubbing her head against Axeth's neck. }:I promise.
Everything will be fine.:{
Axeth let out a draconic sigh. }:I wish you could catch me.:{ Even she
knew it didn't work that way.
}:There are many nice male dragons. You should talk to them,:{
Nalarith suggested. She had begun to notice and enjoy the attention of
males, much to her poor rider's distress.
}:I think I do talk to them, but then I just forget. I've probably met
the same ones over and over.:{ This didn't bother Axeth too much.
}:Then do not worry. I am sure a nice male will catch you and make you
feel very good.:{ Nalarith tilted her head. }:Has your rider flown
yet? The weyrlingmasters say that is very important.:{ A'dryn worried
about it a lot, enough that Nalarith didn't forget it.
}:He's too scared:} Axeth admitted. }:He thinks people will think things.:{
}:We must convince our riders to mate soon. Something bad can happen
if they don't.:{ It did make Nalarith feel a bit better that someone
else was going through this.
}:With each other?:{ Axeth asked.
Nalarith tilted her head. }:That might work.:{
}:Yay. How do we do this then?:{
}:If we ask for a bath at the same time, we can get them to talk to
each other.:{ Nalarith bounced a little, excited at the idea. }:And we
can tell them they have the same problem and can help each other.:{
}:Good idea.:{ Axeth replied. }:Wait- what was it again?:{
}:We will have a bath together and make our riders talk.:{ Nalarith
would be able to help her rider and Axeth's as well. This would be
wonderful!
}:All right.:{ If Axeth managed to remember for long enough.
