Description: The Weyrwoman makes the bluerider an offer. Will he refuse?
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 11, day 5 of Turn 7
Notes: Mentioned: Lanniya, R'enh, N'vanik
It had been several sevendays since the Hatching. Lanniya was safely
in the hands of the weyrlingstaff until she and her dragon got older.
All the guests had left the Weyr. Rhosyn had gone back to leading her
Wing and performing her regular duties. And yet, all she could think
about was the Hatching and seeing him. She dreamed of him. She woke up
thinking about him. She wondered what he was doing. **This is ludicrous.**
After so long, Rhosyn decided she had had enough. No matter what she
did and no matter how much time passed, things didn't seem to
change. So she was going to have to change it herself. For so long, he
had been the only one. Sure, there was R'enh, but that was something
else entirely. And she couldn't think about _him_ either since it was
the same situation. Finding her mood darkening, she made up her mind.
**He shouldn't have a problem. After all, he's probably been with half
the Weyr. Why not me? And maybe it'll give me something else to think
about even for just a little while. Another man's hands on me...**
Considering the merits of her plan, she watched the subject of her
thoughts covertly. **Will he go along with it? What if he's afraid? Or what
if he thinks me damaged or something? Everyone knows after all.** She
looked down at herself and sighed. **Rhosyn, you're not hideous. And you're
powerful. And you can order him to if all else fails since you outrank
him right?** The thoughts that drummed up was enough to give her pause for a
bit.
So later that evening, she found herself walking the corridors. True
to form, she wasn't wearing much. The skirt and short top did cover
her, though. Sandals made very light noise as she traveled. Finally, she
reached her destination. She'd gone to him since inviting him to her weyr was
awkward and then everyone in the world was sure to notice.
**Is he alone in there?**
}:I don't hear anyone:{
**Let's hope this wasn't a bad idea.**
}:I think it's a good one. And it will feel nice and make you less cranky:{
Moving aside the hide flap just enough, Rhosyn peeked inside. "K'mai?"
K'mai's plans for the night had fallen through, but that wasn't such a
bad thing. Even he liked the occasional night alone. He was checking
his straps when the voice interrupted him. Turning in his chair, he
couldn't quite believe who he was seeing. "Weyrwoman? Is there
something you need?" He tried to think of anything he might be in
trouble for.
**Ah so he is alone.** She slipped inside and let the hide flap drop back.
"Well actually there is. Unless you're busy?" Surreptitiously, Rhosyn
studied him, eyes following the lines of his rider's physique. He was tall like
N'vanik and R'enh and even had blonde hair like the Weyrleader. He was different
enough, though.
K'mai stood. "No, Weyrwoman. What can I do for you?" She didn't look upset.
Wondering how best to say it, she came toward him and stopped, glancing
around the room-anywhere but at him. Finally, though, she had to stop her
mind from racing so her eyes came to rest on him. **Blue eyes...not hazel.**
"I need to ask you for a favor." Thinking that was a good start, she
continued on after licking her lips to moisten them. "I need you to have sex
with me." She wondered if he'd want to know why.
Both of his eyebrows went up. "I'd heard you were direct." That was
definitely not what he'd been expecting. "Why me? We barely speak to
each other."
"Basically...I need to get something out of my system. No attachments,
no romance-none of that. I just need to forget." Sizing him up frankly, she
wondered if he knew and supposed he did so it wouldn't hurt. "You're
attractive, you're not weyrmated, and you have a reputation for being fun.
You're not too young or too old." To her, that was as good as any reason.
K'mai couldn't help thinking of all the ways this could go wrong. "Are
you sure? This isn't going to come back and bite me, is it? You _are_
the Weyrwoman."
"I'm not going to tell anyone if you don't. And anyway there aren't many
here who care what I do and who I do it with and if they do, well then shard
them-because I _am_ the Weyrwoman." She shrugged, once again enjoying the
freedoms her position afforded her. It was splendid making one's own
choices.
"I'm not worried about anyone else." K'mai shifted. "I mean... you
aren't going to get upset about this later and take it out on me?"
K'mai didn't worry much about consequences, but River Bluff was his
home and he didn't want to get chased out -- or kicked out.
Rhosyn sighed and looked up at the ceiling. Did people really think she was
so petty? Looking him straight in the eye, she made a little snort. "Maybe if
you're shite in bed. If you're not, then you have nothing to worry about."
That got a laugh out of him. "Ooh, appealing to my ego?" He stepped
close to her. "Okay, Weyrwoman. I can give you a good time. Take your
mind off whatever's bothering you." He looked down at her, trying to
ignore her rank and just see her as a woman. She really was beautiful.
"First off, call me Rhosyn. Not Weyrwoman-not Lady-not goldrider-just
Rhosyn." She walked forward, realizing her request had been granted. Now, to see
about getting it done before she lost the nerve. "Second, why are you wearing so
much when it's hot as shells?"
He laughed again, harder this time. "So impatient Wey-- Rhosyn." K'mai
stripped off his shirt. "Better?"
"Mmm...." And that was about all she said as she began the age old tradition
of exploring his body before she put it near her own. It was interesting to
see how men and women were different. And K'mai as a bluerider was far different
than others. Of course in the ways that counted he wasn't.
K'mai bent to kiss her, slow and exploring. **I'm really doing this.**
Sleeping with a Weyrwoman was one of the few things he hadn't done
before. "Tell me what you like." He slid a hand under her top. "I'm
here to please."
**Don't think about him. Think about _him_.** Struggling to keep herself
there, she nodded at the request. Then she felt his hands on her and it was
interesting feeling those sensations again after so long. The way he touched
her was different. That helped to remember she was in another place with
another person. "Touch me everywhere. Make me feel it. Take me away K'mai. Pull me
away from myself and who I was."
"I'll do my best." He brushed a soft kiss against her cheek and met
her eyes for a moment. "Come on." He took her hand and led her toward
the sleeping chamber. She didn't need to be taken away, she needed to
be grounded in the here and now. Firmly tied to her body and not
floating in her mind. Confident as he was in his abilities, he
couldn't promise to distract her. Not unless she was willing to meet
him part way. "Let yourself be here, with me, and I can make you feel
everything before I send you flying."
She spared a glance for his bedchamber and then brought her eyes back
to focus on him. **Was this a bad idea?** Before she could think it out, she
nodded and pushed herself forward, falling with him onto the bed.

Some time after, Rhosyn lay on her back, breathing heavily. She'd certainly
gotten her exercise. Her eyes were closed and her legs were bent at the knee. Her
arms lay at her sides. The left hand came up, seeking the male face nearby.
He leaned his cheek against her palm. "Better?"
She made a small noise and rolled over onto her side to face him even
as her hand remained. It was far from fixed but at least she didn't want
him right then. Rhosyn could see why K'mai had a reputation. He was a
ball of fun and certainly obliging. "It's a start."
K'mai chuckled. "So you want more, Rhosyn?" He deliberately used her name.
"Just saying one time might be a fluke. Repetition always makes better."
She used her best wingleader-dills voice. That did sound like something
she'd say anyway. Besides if she was getting back up on the runner, she might as
well ride it like a wherry out of a hurricane while she was at it. She
never did anything half cocked.
He threw his head back and laughed. "I certainly wouldn't mind
repeating this ... as many times as you like." He caressed her hip and
leaned over to kiss the sensitive spot beneath her ear.
"Gotten over your nervousness then I see?" One of her brows came up and then
her hazel eyes closed as he kissed her. That was very nice indeed. "Then get to
it bluerider. We both have early mornings tomorrow."
