A familair voice broke the silence that had dominated the bronzerider's thoughts for the last few days. "He's waking up!" Lanmora called to her aunt,Caelanah. The greenrider had fetched her aunt from Emerald Falls when they thought that the young bronzerider might not make it through.

}:C'lor? You have come back!:{ Hayreith said happily as he felt his rider wake up. It had been several days since he had been able to get an answer from his rider. Ikoladith had been very reassuring and told him that he had to take care of himself for his rider's sake. The bronze had suffered a slight score along his wing, but it was extremely minor compared to his rider's injuries.

**Hayreith, what happened?** he asked as the last thing he remembered was delivering firestone to O'dan's wing and finding it in total chaos.

}:You were injured. We got hit by a large clump of thread.:{ the bronze said not really knowing the extent of his rider's injuries.

**Are you allright?** the bronzerider asked concerned for his dragon's health.

}:I am fine, just a scratch. Your mother is here.:{ Hayreith said having recieved the information from Lanmora's green moments ago.

**Mama's here?** he said and then opened his eyes. He couldn't see anything except the sheets he was laying on top of and even that was rather blurry. He was laying on his stomach and when he tried to roll over, a healer stopped him.

"You're not going to be able to move for a few more days, C'lor." the journeyman said putting a hand on the rider's uninjured shoulder.

"Where did I get scored?" the bronzerider asked looking over at the healer imploringly. He had to know how badly he was hurt.

"Quite extensively, but all very shallow. You can thank your bronze's quick reflexes for that, young man. The right side of your face, right shoulder, across your back, and down your left leg. You should be up and about in another sevenday or two." the healer said trying to sound as positive as possible. They thought that the young rider would be able to fly threadfall, but only if he retained the sight in his right eye. It looked like he might, so he felt no need to mention that fact to the bronzerider.

"Is that why I can't move?" C'lor asked realizing that his back felt rather heavy.

"Numbweed's been applied and a poultice to help ward off infection. Are you feeling any pain?"

"Not at the moment. My dragon said my mother is here, can I see her?" he asked remembering what Hayrieth had told him. He hadn't seen his mother in a very long time as his grandmother had kept him from her as much as possible and then he had been searched.

"Of course, but they can't stay for too long. You need your rest."

"I understand." C'lor replied suddenly feeling rather tired.

Lanmora came into view with Caelanah holding onto her arm. "Glad you decided to come back to us, kid." the greenrider said with a grin. "You really had us worried there for a bit. D'ric made me go get your mama so that she could see you." she continued as the older woman just stared at her oldest son.

"Hi Mama." he said weakly as she just stared at him.

"My baby." Caelanah said brushing his hair out of his face. She had missed her baby who was no longer a baby anymore. He was a strong dragonrider like his father. He even looked like his father did when she would bring him refreshments during his watch duty. She would have to tell his father that his son was here the next time she saw him.

Lanmora smiled softly. She loved her father's sister even if she was a halfwit. The poor woman didn't speak much and couldn't follow more than the basic directions. Yet she had several other children besides C'lor who looked exactly like him so they must have the same father. No one but Caelanah knew who the father of her children was and she refused to tell anyone. "We're going to let you rest now, C'lor." she said as she sheperded her aunt back towards the entrance of the infirmary.

C'lor closed his eyes after drinking the concoction the healer offered him. He was alive and Hayreith was fine so that was all that mattered. They would take it one day at a time.
