Characters: N'call, Ninaine
Description: After a bit of rest.
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 9, day 27 of Turn 7
It was so warm...so comfortable. Ninaine buried her head further into
her pillow, then paused sleepily when her pillow didn't puff like it
normally did. Her eyes fluttered open to darkness, but the soft skin
at her cheek was startlingly different than she was used to. Soft
skin...firm muscle...it smelled like...Her brow furrowed, then shot up
as her eyes popped open. Memories whizzed into her mind of why exactly
she had her face buried in a warm male chest. Memories of moans,
clutching hands, hot mouth and muscle clenching pleasure. Her face
immediately flamed at the memories. Had she really acted that way?
Done those things? She went still as N'call's body next to her shifted
as though he could hear what she was thinking. Faranth...she
remembered what his body had done to hers and how she had responded.
So wanton, so...needy. It wasn't her!
She had to get out of there before she was tempted to lay back down
beside him. She didn't even know what time it was, but there was no
light coming in from the cracked doorway except for the slight gleam
of glows. Trying to squirm out of the bed without waking him wasn't
easy. It was more of a wiggle-creep as she half fell on to the floor
with a soft "ooof" then went still. When he didn't move, she exhaled
in relief and began feeling around on the floor for her dress.
N'call was a light sleeper and while it didn't register at first he
realized the warm weight of Ninaine had left the bed. "Hey," he said
softly into the dark. "What are you doing. Come back to bed, it's too
late for you to be trying to go back to your Weyr."
She squeaked in surprise and grabbed the first thing that her hand
found to cover herself. His pants, unfortunately didn't cover much,
and it was belatedly that she realized it was too dark for him to
really see anything. Not that he hadn't already _touched_
everything... That brought another hidden blush to her cheeks. She
tried to get the squeak out of her voice. "Well, we're done so uh...I
thought I should uhm..just go home." **Wake up, Luneth! Help me out
here. **
}: Mumph. Snuggling. Go to sleep. :{ Luneth nestled back down with
Haloth, warm under his wing. }: Go sleep. :{
"Oh no, too cold out there," he patted the bed. "It's nice and warm in
here. Come back to bed sweetheart." his voice was still drowsy with
sleep but he knew who she was and what they'd done.
Faranth, it was tempting. She chewed on her lower lip, still clutching
his pants to her chest and abdomen. It _was_ cold. And she couldn't
find her dress. She felt along the floor for another minute with her
free hand. What had happened to it? Surely he hadn't thrown it, had
he? And he had called her sweetheart. She shivered. She couldn't well
go outside naked. She wavered, trying to find a decent reason not to
get back into the bed, besides, well, her decency. But that had
already been thrown off of the proverbial ledge. She wasn't a maid any
more and he had done it. She paused at the thought. No, they had done
it together. But it was no reason for her to freeze. She swallowed
and then very slowly crept back to the bed, crawling back under the
furs, but still staying near the edge.
He felt her creep back under the covers and a smile lifted the corner
of his mouth. But when she didn't scoot back in next to him he reached
out and pulled her back against his chest. His arms cradled her
possessively "Trouble sleeping?"
Being dragged across the furs brought a little protesting murmur that
died as she was pressed back against his warm chest. Getting
accustomed to the darkness, she was able to make out the lines of him
now and didn't know whether to look at his face or keep her eyes on
his chest. She was stiff as she felt his arms wrap around her, feeling
like his whole body was pressed against the length of hers...and they
were still naked. "I uh.." She swallowed. "I'm not used to sleeping
next to someone. I didn't mean to fall asleep."
"Just relax," he said softly, "You'll never sleep if you don't just
let go." He kissed her temple and ran his hand down the curve of her
back to her nice round bottom. "I'll keep you warm Nina," he said and
began to relax toward sleep again.
"My name isn't Nina. It's Ninaine. " Even as he cupped her bottom, she
gave a soft little gasp and shifted slightly, but didn't pull away. It
was hard to complain about him touching her when she really didn't
want to. "N'call...did.." She hesitated before licking her lower lip.
"Did I do okay? I mean, I know I was noisy and I was loud, but was it
supposed to be like that?"
"But I like calling you Nina, but just when we're alone," he growled
softly in her ear. Then he chuckled. "Yes, you were wonderful,
like a little ball of fire to keep me warm. And when you make noise
like that, I know I'm doing it right." He tilted her face up to
capture her lips for a soft kiss. "It's supposed to be exactly like
that," he said.
Her voice was soft. "I don't like nicknames." She shivered at the
growl in her ear but responded sweetly to the kiss, still trying to
become accustomed to the closeness of him. For so long, she and
Luneth had kept people so far from her, that touching, even the nice
or pleasurable kind took some adjustment. Her hands landed on his
chest, fingers curling slightly. "It felt really good." She admitted
softly, some embarrassment coloring her voice. "I just thought it
would hurt."
He moved into a little more comfortable position draping one of his
legs over one of hers. His voice was soft when he replied. "I'm very
glad you liked it," and he found he really was glad. Ninaine had more
passion in her little finger than most women had in their entire
bodies. He smoothed a hand over her hair. "That is really what I
wanted you to know, that it could feel very good and that you don't
have to fear Luneth rising. Not that I want anyone but Haloth to win."
He hugged her lightly not wanting to ruin her memory of the evening by
reminding her that it _had_ hurt when he'd finally pierced her. That he'd
managed to rub away the memory along with the pain was a personal
victory.
Surrounded by his warmth, Ninaine was slowly beginning to relax.
N'call's touch was feeling less alien to her and she let herself be
soothed by his encouraging hands. She felt wrapped up in him and it
felt _good_. She gave a deep sigh and let her head fall into the area
between his shoulder and chest, a warm, snug little spot that seemed
to fit her head perfectly. It also let her brush her cheek against his
warmth and inhale the scent that she was getting used to. She just
couldn't see this situation as bad. It was comforting, warm, and it
felt right to be cuddled up, even if she wasn't wed. The thought came
to her that she could understand now why some girls got in trouble at
home, especially if they felt like this. Her fingers idly stroked
against his chest. "So...what happens now?"
"What happens now is we go back to sleep," he smiled in the dark.
"Or..." he moved suggestively.
She went still and gasped, but didn't stiffen at the movement against
her. Instead she swallowed, licking her lips. "Again? I thought...I
thought it was just the once that this would happen before Luneth
rose."
"It can happen more than that if you want. I tend to want more after a
bit of a rest," he chuckled. "But you can go back to sleep if you
want."
The thought was tempting. It really was. But...she didn't know if it
was right. "I think I'll just sleep. For right now."
"Of course," he said softly. Then he kissed the top of her head.
"Sleep is good." He settled back down and slowly drifted back to his dreams.
