K'lvin patted Xmreth's neck as he left his weyr, he needed some male company, well male company that could lead him to beauiful woman that was.
"Whoa!" Birigundi called as he almost ran into the bronzerider walking out his door. "Didn't see that one coming," he smiled.
"Ahh but have you seen pretty women?" THe bronzeirder asked chreerfuly.
"I see them quite often, actually, and quite a lot of them," the candidate replied with a grin cocky enough to rival any bronzerider.
"Any aviable?" he already liked the kid.
"Most of them. I try to stay away from the weyrmated ones, but sometimes..." he gave the bronzerider an innocent shrug.
"Care to get a drink and see if we can find some company? I've been out of circualtion for a while."
"You just named my two favorite activities," Birigundi grinned. "Let's see if we can't get you thrown back into the thick of it all."
"Sounds like an idea. What's the best place. Lake or dinning cavern?"
"This time of the year? Dinning cavern, definitely." The candidate looked at the bronzerider carefully. "Are you new here?"
"No I was raised here. Just kept to myself for a while. My llover just tranfered." he explaied.
"Ah, I see. And you've been hiding in your weyr for _how_ many turns?" Shards, he didn't even know _where_ to find women? This man needed help!
K'lvin laughed. "Not that long. I just used to them coming to me. You know handsome bronzerider."
"And while you were sleeping, the other handsome me snuck in," the candidate laughed. "Its a level playing field these days. A bluerider with a nasty thread score and big eyes is just as appealing as a bronzerider."
"What's the weyr coming too?" he sighed dramaticly.
"Don't worry," Birigundi chuckled. "We'll get you caught up with the times. Shards, if even candidates can strike gold, I'm sure we can find at _least_ a greenrider for you."
"I should hope so, or Xmrenth going to ba having all the luck"
"You know, that's one thing I really regret. None of the women ever lose a mating flight! They don't need men to comfort them afterwards. How fair is _that_?"
"Not so fair for one who loose the flight, for the winner however..."
THe bronzerider grinned. "Hopefully you'll find out some time."
"I sure hope so," Birigundi grinned. "I've been _around_ a mating flight once or twice. That can be pretty intense."
"That they are. Worth it though. The only down side it the fact that you may not know who your waking up next too."
"That happens to me frequently enough," the candidate chuckled. "And here we are..." he said, spreading his arms wide as he took in the play ground that was the dining hall. "Our company for the evening awaits!"
"Getting a head start are you." "I need every advantage over the dragonriders," the candidate nodded.
"Until you find your own dragon, then you'll be on the same ground."
