Yriadha

Skipper appeared from /between/ and hovered above the head of the dark
haired woman depicted in his pet's thoughts. The reddish brown hide
stood out from the ebony of the shadows, but blended well with the
rafters. He landed there to study the figure below briefly, then glided
down to land just before her. A chirrup was followed by a polite and
obedient placement of parchment that he had clutched in his forepaws.
Then he took up a settled perch and watched the woman with an expectant
air.

Yriadha took the parchment and with a practiced hand, offered the flit a treat as she unrolled it.

In a neat, flowing hand, words had been etched upon the parchment, a
note from Aini at the Seacraft Hall.

Dear Yriadha,

I hope this message finds you well. I have appreciated all the
assistance you have given as we at the Seacraft Hall attempt to settle
in among the construction. I do hope that you would be willing to
extend to me another favour. There is a ship captain who seeks a wife.
While there are a few women here, those of proper age are wed. Would
you be willing to find candidates for Herlis to meet with and court? If
you can simply provide names, I can personally see to setting up the
meeting.

With gratefulness,

Aini
Headwoman
Seacraft Hall

Yriadha frowned and tapped on her lower lip in thought. It was a pity that this letter hadn't come sooner. It could have been another option for Humari; she had a feeling Taril wouldn't be as biddable as she had believed. She considered the groups of unmarried women that she knew of. There were several potential candidates. Sophque came first to mind and Yriadha sighed. She would hate to lose Sophque to the Seahold, but with Lord Morin's loss, the woman needed someone to care for her and her child. Then there was Danrina, who was getting no younger and yet had no suitors.

Pulling a small piece of parchment, she crafted a letter with a light hand.

Aini,

I would be pleased to help you in this endeavor. We do have several women of marrying age. There are two in particular that are needing husbands that perhaps would meet Herlis' approval. Sophque is a talented seamstress, has a child from her previous marriage, and is a hard worker around the hold. Danrina is a lovely young girl who has yet to find a husband. Perhaps one of these two women will meet your purpose.

Regards,
Yriadha

She rolled the parchment, sealed it and looked up to the firelizard. "Please take this to your mistress."

Skipper accepted the parchment, a quick mind for a firelizard that didn't require messages to be attached to his leg. Aini had insisted on proper training and Skipper had learned quickly and well. The parchment was in perfect condition when he arrived and handed it over to the Seacraft Hall Headwoman. Her eyes skimmed the letter and she nodded, then wrote out one last message.

Yriadha,

Thank you for your assistance in this matter. I will ask the Captain what would work best for his schedule and let you know.

With gratefulness,

Aini
