R'axe

R'axe

J'kri spotted him in the dining cavern -- alone! He hurried over to
join him. "Hey there."

A quick smile came across R'axe's face, "J'kri," he liked the young
bluerider, and so it was easy for him to say, "my favorite bluerider,
besides my self," he added as an after thought, "what are you up to?"

"I was hoping to spend some more time with you." J'kri smiled, a little
tingle running through him just at the thought.

Straightforward, R'axe liked that about J'kri. So many people tried to
treat sex like a secret that never happened. "Have a seat." He kicked
out the chair across from him, "I am just grabbing dinner." And it
would seem that he wouldn't even have to search for a bed partner that
night.

"I heard your boy caught his first green." R'axe said before popping
in a meat roll.

"Yes." J'kri laughed as he sat down. "He's been gloating about it ever
since. And the rider is one of my best friends. I'd been worried
that... well, we reconnected. Very enthusiastically." He smiled and
took a bite of his roll. Now that D'ret was talking to him again, all
seemed right with the world.

"Good, I am glad it went well for you. The first green that Jayth
caught..." R'axe made a face and shook his head, as if the mere memory
pained him, "It was ghastly." Two hundred pounds of icky.

The bluerider took a drink from his cup of klah, "I met your Paetri
too," he added, "she seems very sweet."

J'kri's eyebrows went up. "Oh? How did you meet her?"

"I had to swing by the dragon infirmary for a cream for a dry rash on
Jayth's hide. She was working and I introduced myself. Apparently she
had already heard of me, however, from you." R'axe grinned at that.

"I was very pleased to end up with you and I might have mentioned
that... a few times." He was glad Paetri wasn't the jealous type or
his praise of R'axe might have upset her.

R'axe liked to hear that, "I was very pleased as well, J'kri, and
pleasantly surprised." He finished off his plate of food and pushed it
aside, "Paetri didn't strike me as the jealous sort either, that was
very refreshing."

J'kri shook his head and swallowed a bite. "She's not. She's
wonderful. I thought I might have to explain things to her, but she
understands me."

"And your other greenrider best friend?" R'axe asked curiously.

"He's not jealous. At least, I don't think he is." J'kri frowned. "It
would be weird if he was. D'ret was the one that taught me about sex
and he _really_ likes it." The kind of person holders called terrible
names.

R'axe's lips flashed into another grin, "Then he sounds like a good
friend to have. It is hard to find good friends at the Weyr."

"I must be really lucky." He felt much better now that D'ret was back
in his life. "I have two best friends and I keep meeting nice,
interesting people."

"Well, this nice, interesting person would like to take you up to his
weyr." The bluerider met J'kri's eyes.

He actually felt the tiniest bit shy. "I'd love that." J'kri's stomach
fluttered with anticipation.

R'axe sensed that moment of hesitation in J'kri, but he knew that he
could quickly alleviating any of that. They hadn't seen much of each
other since Paetri's flight any way, so R'axe wasn't surprised that
the younger bluerider might be a bit shy now. It sounded as if the
other two lovers he kept were close friends, so R'axe would be the
first of his partners that was slightly more casual and less of a deep
friendship.

"Come on then." He stood.

J'kri followed him to his weyr, the flutters getting stronger. It was
like those first few times with D'ret -- excitement and nervousness
and curiosity all wrapped up together. "I've been thinking about you
since the flight."

"I have thought about you too." R'axe told J'kri, and for once it
wasn't just one of his lines, but the truth. Pushing the door open to
his weyr he ushered J'kri in and closed the portal behind them, "I
haven't met a man quite like you in a while, J'kri." He admitted,
capturing the younger bluerider's chin between his fingers long enough
to pull their faces together for a kiss.

His words and the kiss had J'kri melting against the older man. One
hand came up to sink into R'axe's hair as he returned the kiss
enthusiastically.

Mmmm, so eager. R'axe hungrily kissed J'kri back. Oh yes, who needed
women? Wrapping his arms around the younger man's waist, R'axe pulled
J'kri down with him onto his bed.
