Women Talk

Writers: Chelle, Jelena
Date Posted: 28th August 2013

Characters: Parale, Parme
Description: Parale and Parme discuss Danrina.
Location: Sunstone Seahold
Date: month 2, day 1 of Turn 7
Notes: Mentioned: Danrina, Ioven, Briata

"So I met this girl the other day who is looking for a husband. The poor
dear, we have to help her. Do you know anyone that might be suitable?"
Parale asked as she continued to lie on her back, staring up at the ceiling.

"Oh, yes, Danrina, isn't it?" Parme asked as she continued her routine check
up. "I met her briefly, she seems to be a nice girl." Of course Parme would
call everyone nice until proven otherwise.

"I think so. I asked Ioven if he knew anyone and he said he wanted to meet
her first so we had her to dinner." She had been a bit nervous since it
was her first real dinner party since coming to Sunstone.

"Ah, that's lovely," Parme said with a smile. "I wonder who Ioven comes up
with, I admit I haven't spoken with her long enough to be entirely sure on
who would match up with her."

"Well I think she's related to some high people from the way she talks and
acts. Don't know who since I didn't really ask, but I get that impression."
Parale wondered if maybe Briata knew her.

"Hmm, I can see where you got the idea from," Parme nodded, looking
thoughtful. She had had similar thoughts on their brief meeting. "I hope she
doesn't have too much ambition for her marriage, then." It wasn't really as
if they were overflowing in high-ranked single young men.

"I don't think she does." Feeling that Parme was finished, she got up and
began to dress herself again. "I think she's running from all of that."

"Well, let's hope she is running for the right reasons, then," Parme smiled
gently. She had heard the stories of them runaway brides and she didn't care
for the drama it would bring to their Hold. But perhaps that was her
imagination taking her a little too far.

"Either way, I intend to see if I can help her. I know how it feels
to be new and not know anyone-away from everything you're familiar with. At
least I had a family." Frowning, she stood and tied her scarf around her
head. Parale's penchant for bright colors hadn't exactly endeared her to
everyone.

"You are right, dear, and it is truly kind for you to help her. If there is
anything I can do I will gladly do my part." With that the older woman got
up to see Parale out.
