Yriadha

Yriadha

Aini made her way through the halls. It was unfamiliar territory but
she had been given good instructions by a resident and found herself in
front of the office that was the Hold's Headwoman's. She rapped lightly
on the door then entered once she was given leave. A smile and a nod
were given in greeting before her words. "Yriadha? I'm Aini, headwoman
of the new Hall."

A polite nod, but not a smile, was returned as Yriadha rose and gestured
to the chair across from her desk. "Aini, is it? I'm pleased to meet
you." Her dark eyes were sharp. "Have a seat, please."

"Thank you." Aini moved over to a chair and lowered herself into it.
"Thank you for seeing me. I hope I won't have to take up too much of
your time."

"You are welcome." Yriadha returned back to her seat and steepled her
fingers as she gazed at Aini. "It will take as much time as we need."
Her lips lifted just barely. "Are you settling in well?"

"Very well thank you. There's a lot of work to be done, but things are
progressing nicely. I'm looking forward to seeing the progress." Aini
gave another small smile. "I thought it might be wise to talk to you
since we'll be in need of some resources."

Yriadha nodded in agreement. "Of course. Do you have a list of items
you require?"

"I do indeed." Aini was rarely caught unprepared. She pulled a piece
of parchment from the file she carried and passed it over. "I've
tried to be as frugal as possible, I don't want to overtax your
resources."

Glancing over the list, Yriadha pulled out ledger of the hold's
supplies and carefully compared them. Her assessment was quick. "I
believe we can meet your needs." Her brow furrowed. "Have you staff
prepared?"

"I have a couple, but that was something else I was hoping to have
some help on if you are willing." Aini produced another piece of
parchment and passed it over. "I've tried to remain frugal in this
aspect as well."

Her brow knit again as she leaned back and read the list. There was a
pause as she tapped her chin. "We have several young people who have
not chosen a craft that could assist you in some areas. What is your
most pressing need?"

"Various needs, but the most pressing will most likely will be to help
set up, especially as construction is completed." There was going to be
a lot of work to do, and Aini would hopefully have permanent help sooner
rather than later.

The headwoman nodded. "Of course. We can all help. I'll speak with our
steward and see what we can arrange between the three of us."

"Excellent. I'll do my best to make sure I stay in communication with
you." That would be key to make sure there wouldn't be problems. "Thank
you for your assistance."

Yriadha's reply was brisk. "Please do and you're welcome. I'll send
what I can spare as soon as I can get it gathered."
