Trealeina and Tamineth play

Description: Early morning play time.
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 8, day 11 of Turn 4

}:I am hungry, and I itch:{ Tamineth probed her rider mentally. Trealeina moaned, she had stayed up too late again trying to study.

Even after all these weeks she still was not used to the hours that she had to keep as a weyrling. She loved learning, and studying was no problem, it was just the days were so long.

Shards, even at home when her chores were done, the rest of the day was hers, unless there was a special occasion. Like the quilt the women in her family made for her Uncle Roenic to give to his bride, the day they were joined. That was a lot of work. But the look on his face when he saw the finished product was worth every prick and finger ache.

Well at least the great green beast did not have to be fed as often now.
Not too much longer and she will be able to go get her own food.

}: Can you not hear the sounds from my stomach? :{ Tamineth complained.

** yes my sweet. I am coming. ** Trealeina yawned and gave one final stretch.

Doing her best not to disturb Jadella or Tierk, but to no avail.
She moved quietly so she did not disturb anyone else in the barracks either.
The firelizards waited patiently for her to dress then each lit on a shoulder with a tail wrapped around each arm. With everyone settled, Trealeina headed for the kitchens to get the meat to be chopped for her lifemate.

Trealeina did not see anyone else up and around so Tamineth's stomach is early as usual. The wake up call would not be for another candle mark and a half.

It seems she always woke, and ate before the others.
Trealeina had gotten much better at chopping and was able to complete the task quickly and much neater than the first day that she had attempted it.
Trealeina chuckled to herself as she noticed that Tierk was getting a little on the pudgy side, while Jadella stayed trim and neat. Trealeina tossed little pieces of meat to the two as she continued to chop. Laughing aloud as she watched the two. Jadella daintily and slowly eating and Tierk putting as much in his mouth as he could fit at one time. She tossed the two one final piece before she headed back to feed the waiting Tamineth }: is it ready yet, I fear I will wither. If I don't eat something soon :{ Tamineth pleaded again.

** Yes my love I am almost there. Then we can go to the lake to give you a good scrub and a nice oil rub. **

}: yes I always feel better after an oil rub. :{ Tamineth sighed at the thought.

Tamineth finished her meal quickly, and then automatically waddled off toward the lake for her bath. Trealeina gather the needed items then started off after her dragon. This was Trealeina's favorite part of the day, even if it was way too early.

Trealeina scanned the water for Tamineth. She was certain that she was in there. Tamineth always arrived at the pool first just to soak until she arrived. Trealeina waited patiently for the dragon to surface.

First she saw Tamineth's head come up out of the water, but she did not expect the shower of water that followed. Tamineth had stayed under as long as she could then pushed up hard and fast as soon as she saw Trealeina at the pools edge drenching her rider with water.

}: Surpriesed?, now you don't need to bathe, I just gave you a bath :{ Tamineth told her, with her eyes whirling green. Trealeina could hear what she had always thought of Tamineth laughing.

** Yes my sweet, you did. And a lovely bath it was. ** Trealeina laughed aloud. Both Jadella and Tierk darted in and out of the water around Tamineth splashing merrily.

}: my little friends seem to have enjoyed it too. :{ Tamineth seemed to chuckle to herself. }: Ok I am ready to scrub now. :{ Tamineth told her rider, with a sudden serious tone, head high and nose pointed to the ceiling.

Trealeina laughed at the sight. ** Well then, get your grand hide over here so I can oblige your mightiness ** Trealeina teased her taking a deep bow.
Tamineth good heartedly splashed her way to the waters edge so she could be scrubbed.

Tamineth had grown so much. **It's a good thing that we get up so early to bathe and oil you, or I would have to miss my breakfast before class**
Trealeina told Tamineth teasingly as she scooped the sweet sand and applied it to her hide.

Trealeina scrubbed under wings, and tail, and all along the ridges on back and head and every other inch she could find. Trealeina stepped back and told Tamineth to rinse so that she could look at her beautiful hide.
Tamineth again splashed the water all over Trealeina, which was all the better, for she had almost as much sweet sand on her clothes as she did on her dragons hide.

**Did I miss anywhere your mightyness?** Trealeina asked her teasingly }:nope, I feel better all over:{ she sighed saitisfied }: but it will be even better when you can get me oiled:{ Jadella and Tierk perched on a rock for their scrubbing while Tamineth rinsed and dried to be oiled. Jadella reveled in getting scrubbed and oiled, while Tierk was a little more impatient for the scrubbing, but he liked the oiling.

Jadella and Tierk played in the water after they were scrubbed to rinse while Trealeina oiled the largest hide of the three. Then she tackled the two smaller ones.

Trealeina had just finished with Tierk's oiling as another green entered the bathing pool and a still stretching rider, trailing behind an axious dragon.
Trealeina Waved as she and Tamineth exited. She saw the green submerge herself as they left the bathing pool.

Trealeina waited for Tamineth to settle in before she went to clean herself and head off to grab some food before class.
