Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 7, day 7 of Turn 4

The snow drifted down onto the banks of the Azov Sea and the white woods that surrounded it. The hills beyond Azov began to roll meeting the mountains of the Western Barrier Range that, in the distance, reached to the skies beyond the clouds. It was a great view for Chemalis and Animus as they watched from the peak with their two runner beasts.

"So do you think Nasiria would like this view?" Animus dared to ask, his voice was as quiet as the snow that fell.

Chemalis wanted to roll his eyes at the lust longings of his friend, but Chemalis did not because he knew he was no better than Animus. Chemalis glanced at him.

Animus's black hair contrasted sharply with the snow that fell onto it.

"I think she would," Chemalis began to answer calmly before he slapped him in the face "with somebody else."

Animus sighed in irritation. "You don't know that."

Chemalis pondered over the probability that... no he was right. "Why do you like her anyway? She's just a vapid child."

"No," Animus defended. "She is a kind, caring, beautiful woman," Animus declared with passion.

A chuckle began to fall from Chemalis's lips. He never thought it was possible to describe her as kind and caring.

"What?" Animus questioned.

Chemalis's small chuckle was more of a rolling laughter now.

"What?"

"Animus," his laughter died down. "There are plenty of other girls that are a much more desirable than Nasiria." Though none came to mind. It was not like he paid attention to many of them.

"One, name me one candidate better than Nasiria."

Chemalis gently heeled the runner beast into a slow trot. It took him a while to think of one. "Villa," he responded.

"Villa?" Obviously Animus had never heard of her.

That was not a surprise to Chemalis. Villa kept to herself, and even he had to admit she was not the most attractive. At least it was obvious she was not infatuated with herself, unlike Nasiria. "She tends to stay in the back.
You know, long black hair, tall, thin."

"Oh, her?" Animus reared back. "By the egg no."

"She's not ugly," Chemalis retorted.

"Yeah, but she's so plain," he replied with distaste. "I mean, there's nothing there. Nasiria on the other hand."

Here we go again, Chemalis groaned to himself.

"She is the definition of beauty. Her lushes lips, chiseled to perfection, and taste like fresh sweet bubbly pie."

Chemalis rolled his eyes. Animus had never kissed her before, so how would be know?

"Her waves of black hair looks like the master of all painters put love and care with each stroke as he painted her long black locks. The shine from her hair puts the moons and the stars to shame, for they pale in comparison to her. The rich blue tones of her eyes make sea envious of her, because never could they ever replicate the intensity of her beauty."

A gagging sensation tugged at the back of Chemalis's throat. Animus would make a horrible harper, he thought to himself as his friend continued on.

"Nasiria's voice is more elegant than any harper-"

"Okay, okay, that's enough Animus, I get the point." Chemalis could take no more.

There was a long silence as the snow continued to drift.

"So what do you think of Larazew?" Chemalis began just to break the silence.

"So we can discuss Larazew, but not Nasiria?" Animus grumbled.

"No, not like that, just..." well maybe like that, but Chemalis would never admit to any of his own lusts to Animus. "Never mind. Let's just get back to the weyr. I think these two," he motioned to the runnerbeasts "have had enough of an outing today." Not to mention the fact that if they did not return within a descent hour their master would flay their sides raw.

Animus agreed with him as he pulled the reigns and brought the runner beast around. "Oh, and Chemalis."

"Yeah?" All Chemalis wanted was to get back to the weyr now.

"Larazew would have liked the view," he paused. "With some body else."

There was a long pause before they both began to laugh. "Yeah,"
Chemalis agreed. "You're probably right."
