Description: D'wrayt tries to not let the news from Dolphin Cove distract him during Threadfall
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 3, day 19 of Turn 4
}:They've started transfering the eggs.:{ Treadoryth informed him rather needlessly as he had heard the dragons quite clearly.
**Thank you for the notice. Are the wings ready to go?** D'wrayt asked as he sat astride the bronze on the plateau.
}:They are.:{ the bronze replied after checking with the wingleaders' dragons.
**Tell them to go airborne and wait in position.**
}:Done.:{ he replied as he took flight himself. They hovered in the air as the rest of the wings joined them.
**Then let us go meet the Threadfall.** he replied having gotten the location of the leading edge from the watch dragon. With that command the wings went /between/ to fight thread over Amber Hills Hold.
They appeared over the hold and the dragons were able to do what they did best eradicate thread. They moved in and out searing thread wherever it happened to be. The blues and greens swapped in and out as needed. D'wrayt heard a dragon cry out in pain and saw them go /between/ to reappear with a renewed sense of caution.
He thought of the storm that was threatening the residents of Dolphin Cove and hoped that they would be able to save all their eggs. He knew that the move would not be easy for bronzes or their brooding gold, but he would do whatever he could to help.
}:There's a clump to your left, D'wrayt.:{ Treadoryth said jarring his rider back to the task at hand. Before he could react, it was gone. Laithyne and Jusaraipath were closer to it, so the green had seared it out of existance.
**Is there anymore coming?** he asked wearily as they scanned the sky for remaining thread.
}:There is no more. We land.:{ the bronze stated not giving his rider an option.
After a quick conversation with the leader of the groundcrew, D'wrayt sent out a sweeprider to make sure that the outlaying cotholds were allright. He was tired and ready for a bath, but he knew that he had more to do before he could retire to his bathingchamber.
The Weyrleader readied himself to return to Dragonsfall unsure of exactly what he would find. **Let's go home, Treadoryth.** he told his bronze trying to hide his exhaustion.
}:We shall be allright and Dolphin Cove will as well.:{ the bronze reassured his rider as he pushed himself skyward. They were soon back at home and the bronze was going to go swim in the lake while his rider took care of things.
