}:Trae? Trae...it's time to wake up.:{ Mumbling something incoherent, the Weyrwoman snuggled closer against the warmth surrounding her, letting her mind start to drift back into that hazy realm of sleep. Shards...not yet. She wasn't ready yet. It was too soft here, too comfortable, too...

}:Traelyn.:{ Reluctantly she cracked open an eye, scowling sleepily in the general direction of Kalamath's weyr, where Nyith undoubtably was.

}:There. You are awake.:{ Nyith's tone was lovingly proud. }:We must leave soon for drills. You told me to wake you, remember? When the sun had gone down?:{ Stifling a yawn against her first, Traelyn nodded. "Mmmmhmmm...." Didn't mean she wanted to wake up...not when she was nestled so nicely against soft cushions and even softer skin...

Somewhere in U'kaiah's sleeping brain, he was aware that the woman who lay half over him and half nested between his body and the back of the sofa had begun to shift slightly. It wasn't enough to pull him awake, but he wrapped his long arms around her in response. Comfortable once more, he easily drifted back into his dream.

Silently she cursed the eight-candlemark distance between her Weyr and his. Sharding time and time limits... Traelyn didn't even bother hiding the next yawn as it came, and she nuzzled U'kaiah's shoulder affectionately. "Nyith's telling me I have to get up," she mumbled in his ear.

"Hmm?" he groaned, his mind still asleep. "No," he mumbled, tightening his hold on her slightly, "it's early. Let's sleep more..." The bronzerider barely got the last word out before he slipped back to sleep.

"Got drills," she sighed. Mmm...but his touch was so sharding convincing... "Can't be late, you know...."

"Mmmhmm," he hummed, but he wasn't really hearing a word.

"Sets a bad example."

"Mmmhmmm."

Her eyes closed. "I'd never hear the end of it. I'd be called the hypocritical Weyrwoman..."

"'s ok..." If he was just a little more awake, he might have been annoyed at her constantly disturbing his sleep, but as it was his mind was too lethargic to catch onto that fact.

After a moment, Traelyn moved her hand up, fingers gently stroking through his curly hair. She had a _little_ more time left to stay here, and while that time would be better spent having a cup of klah, she'd much rather stay in this warm little nest between him and the cushions. Shards, she'd missed him.

The gentle caresses were enough to put the bronzerider back to sleep fully and he lightly began to snore as the arms drapped across her grew a little heavier.

Sighing, she shifted further up his body so her head could rest comfortably on his shoulder. It was much broader than B'ram's, she noticed. And the way he held her.... B'ram had been uncharacteristically comforting last night, but his touch hadn't been as open as U'kaiah's was now. And certainly not as genuine. Turning, she gently kissed his neck, nails moving to its base. Then she raised her head to look down at him, grinning at the expression on his face. She wondered what he was dreaming about. "U'kaiah," she murmured, tracing his ear.

"Hmmm?" he groaned down in his throat as he turned his head towards her. His eyes didn't even open as as he nuzzled his nose against hers, kissed the tip, and promptly fell right back to sleep, his forehead resting against hers.

**You're just making it harder and harder for me to get up...** Again, she traced a nail along his ear, lightly tickling the curve. "You're going to have to let me up...."

He murmured something incoherent as he reached up to bat away whatever was tickeling his ear and disturbing his sleep.

Grinning, she did it yet again. "Come on now..."

"Huh?" he grunted as his eyes finally opened. His head leaned back a bit as he tried to focus on the face so close to his own. "Trae?"

She smiled.

"What time is it?" he asked, his voice low and cracking from sleepiness.

"The middle of the night. The eighth candlemark at Dolphin Cove." She propped her head up on her hand, looking at him. "I told you earlier I have to make sure I'm on time for drills, but you were kind of sleeping."

"I'm still kind of sleeping," he groaned, tightening his arms around her. "Why do you have be all... responsible. You make a nice blanket."

"I'm not sure anyone else would agree that me being a blanket for you is more important than being on time for drills," she teased, wrapping her finger around one of his curls.

"Yeah, well, they're not here," he said with a sleepy grin. Shards, he loved it when girls played with his hair. "And if they get angry and want to send you back here, I wouldn't complain."

A quiet smile touched her lips at that. "I miss you."

"I'm always here," U'kaiah replied, his eyes smiling back up into hers.

"I know you are," she murmured, rubbing her cheek against him.

He reached up to run his fingers through her white-blonde hair. "I suppose if you have to go... after all, I'll see you at Turns End."

"Mmmm. And make sure you're prepared to dance the night away."

"Well, afternoon for me," he chuckled.

"Technicalities, technicalities..." Grinning, she brushed the tip of her nose to his before shifting, rising reluctantly up on her elbows. Shaking her hair away from her face, her expression turned hopeful. "You wouldn't happen to have any klah in here, would you?"

"No," he chuckled as he swung his legs off the cushions. "I'm sorry, I don't make a habit of keeping klah in my weyr in the middle of the night. But, I would walk you down to the kitchen to find you some."

Traelyn held out her hand to him. "Then let's go."
