"Hmmm," Kiomo hummed in the young woman's ear as he slid his arm around her from behind. "It certainly is a beautiful night. How did I know I would find you out here?"

She leaned back to brush her cheek against his shoulder. "Maybe you're a really good guesser..."

He noticed she had relaxed into him without hesitation. Affection was coming more naturally between them. It was a good sign. He kissed her head softly. "Maybe I just know your fondness for beautiful stars."

"That too," Gleniel grinned, tilting her face up to look at him.

He leaned down to kiss the tip of her nose. "And how was your day?"

"It was good. I'm glad it's over though." She brushed her nose against his. "And yours?"

"It's getting much better," he whispered, leaning down to kiss her softly.

Blushing, she returned his kiss. Gleniel hadn't forgotten the last time they'd been alone together, and she had to admit to herself that she was still a little wary--and nervous. But Faranth, it was hard to remember why when he was so close...

"So tell me what you did today," he said softly, moving his lips to kiss along her jaw.

"Cooked, cleaned...." She closed her eyes, sighing. "Organized supplies...."

"Only that?" His breath was warm in her ear before gently nibbling along the edge of it. "No free time?"

"A bit," she breathed. "And I thought of you..."

"Mmmm," he hummed, his lips trailing lightly down her neck. "I thought of you too."

Again, she sighed. "Oh..." Gleniel could hardly think anymore--not with him doing _that_...

"What were you thinking about me?" His kisses were growing a bit less gentle, and a bit more passionate as his fingers began drawing unintelligible shapes along her stomach and sides.

A flush rose in her cheeks, and she grinned a little, embarrassed. She was glad he couldn't see her face. "I'm not going to tell you that, Kiomo...."

"Did it involve anything we're doing now?" he chuckled, his breath tickling the side of her neck.

"Perhaps." Shifting, she turned so she could face him. "And you?"

"I've been thinking too," Kiomo admitted, his fingers curling around her hips and his dark eyes searching her green.

"Have you?"

"Yes," he murmured, his eyes betraying just what he had been thinking.
"I've been thinking about what we talked about in the field. Have you?"

Blushing, she nodded.

"And?" he asked softly, his eyes looking pleadingly into hers.

The blush crept down her neck. "I'm not going to lie to you, Kiomo. There's a part of me that...wants to..."

"If you want me, Gleniel, then there is no reason to be afraid," he said, a soft smile touching his lips. Kiomo reached his hands up to gently cup and caress her face. "If you want me, no one needs to know but _us_. It's not the world's business. When you are in another's arms, Gleniel, in another's heart, there is no one in the world but the both of you. You are safe from everything, and everyone, and all is right with the world when your lover is wrapped around you. That is what I want to share with you, Gleniel. The body is only part of it. Things are said and done in secret, not because any of it is wrong or shameful, but because it is something beautiful and special that belongs to only _us_."

"Faranth, Kiomo..." She gazed up at him, her expression longing. "You...you know that I'm...inexperienced. I wouldn't...wouldn't know what to do... I'm not sure if I could..." her voice trailed off and she flushed harder.

"It would be perfect, Gleniel," Kiomo whispered, "because it would be _you_." He wrapped his arms around her, pulled her close, and kissed her with all the passion and desire he felt, wordlessly asking her if she felt the same.

And she did.
