Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 9, day 13 of Turn 3
Having watched young Karri Impress her Green, N'klar had given her time to settled in, and now, two months into her training, he thought he might distract her for lunch. With all that had happened in the last few days, the entire Weyr was not feeling very hospitable, and he felt the need for company. He had liked Jaela. Summoning a smile, he went to the Weyrling barracks, poking his curly head inside. He owed her an apology, for certain, but perhaps she'd forgotten what he'd promised all those months ago?
"Karri? Karri, are you here?" "Yes?" she said as she pulled a clean tunic over her head. The one she had worn this morning had firestone soot all over it and she simply couldn't go to lunch looking all dirty. "You look lovely, Karri.." He smiled at her, approaching closer. "I'm afraid you've got a humble bluerider come calling to beg your forgiveness.."
"N'klar, what are you talking about?" She couldn't think of a thing he could need forgiving for, she hadn't hardly even seen him since she'd impressed. "Well.." He paused, eying her with a fond smile. She _was_ lovely. "I never took you to meet my little sister, lass. You Impressed and I took my overly handsome and heartbreaking self away from all of you young and lovely new weyrlings so I would not disrupt your training!"
He chuckled, enjoying teasing her. "Oh!" she exclaimed, the memory of that conversation returning, "Why of course you're forgiven! Whenever would we have had time anyways?"
"I intend to make it up to you, though, not matter the whys. Lunch with me?"
"I'd be honored, rider." she said playfully as she gave a curtsy. Eyes twinkling, he extended his arm to the young Candidate, and led her toward the dining caverns. This had been bothering him for a few sevendays, though clearly not _her_! It made him feel good to smile again. "I am going to hold you to your promise though," Karri said with a smile as she looked up at the older rider, "How about as soon Elliath and I can go between you take me to meet this sister of yours?" "You've a deal, lass." He smiled down at her, looking forward to watching her ..and her lovely green.. grow up. "Lunch then!" And he led her inside, finding them a table.
