Have We Talked Enough?

R'axe

Paetri held J'kri's hand as they approached R'axe's weyr. She wasn't
entirely certain that this would work, even though J'kri had said that
R'axe seemed to be willing. Even so, her heart beat like crazy, which
was silly. It wasn't as if they were going to do anything yet. Just
talk about it. She looked over at J'kri and slid her thumb against
his.

"It'll be fine." J'kri kissed her cheek before knocking on the door.
Maybe he was being selfish but he really, _really_ wanted this to
work.

}:Your youngling friends are here.:{ Jayth reported to R'axe in a sly,
teasing voice.

**Ha. Ha.** R'axe shot a glare toward the weyrcouch as he passed by on
his way to the door. It was hard to hide from his dragon the feelings
of worry that R'axe had over the age difference between himself and
the two people on the other side of the door.

"Hey guys," he said, his easy smile hiding the nerves he inwardly
felt, "come in."

J'kri bounced in and gave him a kiss. "Hi." He squeezed Paetri's hand
and led her toward the couch.

Paetri didn't sit, but turned back to R'axe and looked at him for a
moment before cupping his face in her hands. Her kiss was delicate but
warm before she stepped back with a slight smile on her face. She
turned back to J'kri and lifted her head. J'kri wasn't nervous and
thinking to herself, she decided that it was ridiculous for her to be
nervous. They'd all seen each other naked and been intimate, after
all. She sat down on the couch and crossed one leg over the other.
Glancing between the two men, she cleared her throat. "Well..." She
paused and tugged at her braid for just a moment. "would everyone be
more comfortable naked or something?" She blushed, but there was a
playful spark in her eyes.

R'axe chuckled, probably blushing for the first time in his
forty-something Turns, "I was going to suggest wine."

J'kri bit his lip, heat flooding him. "Wine first ... then naked?" His
voice was almost steady. Brushing aside Paetri's hair, he bent to kiss
her neck. He just _had_ to touch her.

Paetri's face heated; with J'kri's eagerness, it was hard to control
her own desires. Her voice was breathy as J'kri kissed her neck.
"Patience." She shivered at the touch and laid a hand on his leg. "We
were coming just to talk about it." She looked at R'axe, her eyes
warm. "Wine would be nice, thank you."

Plucking two more wine glasses from the table, R'axe poured wine into
both and then handed them to J'kri and Paetri. Even though she said
they were just coming to talk, R'axe knew that impatient desire he saw
in J'kri's eyes. It was strange, but not necessarily discouraging, to
see J'kri have that look when it wasn't directed at _him_.

Sitting down in a chair opposite the couch, R'axe lifted two fingers
from where his hand lay on the armrest, "So let's talk, then."

"Well I think you know my stance." J'kri smiled. "But I want you both
to be comfortable."

Paetri looked at R'axe, but settled more comfortably on the couch,
then took a drink of wine. "I am comfortable, actually." And it
surprised her. When she had first come to the weyr, the thought of
being with two men at the same time would have horrified her. It was
surprising to think of how much she'd changed. "Is there anything
you're worried about, R'axe?"

The bluerider contemplated that question for a moment before looking
up at the young pair sitting opposite them, "I suppose the only thing
I'm worried about is things getting too complicated."

"What do you mean by too complicated?" J'kri wondered if R'axe had bad
experiences with this kind of thing before. Just because the Weyr was
more open with relationships didn't mean that people didn't get
jealous.

"For example, once we all do this together, it's still going to be
okay when it's just two of us right? The third person won't feel left
out or jealous?" R'axe explained.

J'kri blushed a bit. "I know I got jealous about you two, but it won't
happen again. If we all have a good time, I'd like to do it again but
not _all_ the time. We don't have to be like a... permanent thing."

J'kri wanted to be with Paetri and R'axe for a long time but he didn't
need the three of them to be a unit.

Paetri added her thoughts. "I've never been a jealous person." She
patted J'kri's leg lightly. "J'kri has male lovers and I've
always known about it and been okay." Female lovers were a little
harder for her to accept, but she did. "It's who he is. I've never
asked him to change and I won't."

R'axe smiled, "Then that's the only thing I could think of that might
have raised a problem."

Paetri sipped her wine, and then tilted her head, looking at R'axe,
then J'kri through her thick lashes. She finished it, then slowly
rose. She didn't drink wine often, but she did enjoy the warm
sensation that it caused. "Well then." She toyed with the end of her
braid, untied it and it uncoiled to allow her hair to fall down down
her back in sleek waves. Feeling daring, she walked towards R'axe,
putting more sway in her slim hips than was usually there. Knowing
that R'axe had wanted her before and feeling completely comfortable in
her relationship with J'kri allowed her to feel bold and sensual.

Paetri laid a hand on R'axe's shoulder and let her finger trail over
his neck. "Have we talked enough?"

Reaching up, R'axe twisted Paetri's glorious hair around his hand
slowly, and then gently pulled her face down so that their lips were a
breath apart, "Yes." He kissed her hungrily, the way he had on the
beach.

Heat went through J'kri like a bolt of lightning. He shifted on the
couch, his trousers suddenly tight and uncomfortable. The reality of
seeing them together was so much better than the fantasies.

The kiss was as wonderful as it had been the first time. She sighed
against R'axe's mouth and then gave an eager moan that quivered. She
forced herself to pull her mouth away, her lips full from his kiss and
her gaze filled with desire. She turned her head just enough to see
J'kri and the look on her beloved's face was enough to make her want
to continue without pause. She slid into R'axe's lap and beckoned to
J'kri.

He came up behind her, giving R'axe a long look full of desire as he
brushed Paetri's hair to one side. Bending, he slid his lips along her
neck, his kisses punctuated with gentle nips. One of his hands slipped
between Paetri and R'axe, touching them both.

R'axe's eyes locked with J'kri's even as his fingers made quick work
of the buttons on the front of Paetri's shirt. He knew that J'kri had
wanted something like this between the three of them for a while, and
now that they were there, R'axe was discovering that he really wanted
it to.
