R'axe

R'axe

}:A _bronze_,:{ Rademerth huffed as he spiraled down toward the
heights. }:I am better than any bronze.:{ The flightlust still burned
hot in him and in his rider as well. Through their bond he felt J'kri
reach for someone and caught a glimpse through his rider's eyes.

}:Mine chooses yours again,:{ he told Jayth, curious even in the midst
of his frustration.

Jayth gave a matching huff. He'd plunged into the cold refreshing
Weyrlake halfway through the flight when he'd gotten a cramp in his
wing. Moving up to the heights beside of Rademerth, water dripped form
his cerulean figure to seep out and darken the stone beneath his
talons.

}:Yes, mine flies with yours much more than he does with
greenriders.:{ Jayth had noticed it himself, his rider's preference
for Rademerth's young one.

Rademerth's claws scraped lightly against rock. }:Mine only spends
more time with Camilth's.:{ And Rademerth spent many nights curled up
with the green, which pleased him.

}:When mine is not with yours he flies with _many_ others. I cannot
remember them all.:{ Jayth's very short dragon memory didn't allow him
the luxury of keeping up with all of R'axe's promiscuity. The blue
stretched his wings and then settled them against his back. }:Mine is
feeling very good now.:{

}:Mine feels good as well.:{ Rademerth's eyes whirled a bit slower,
showing hints of blue. }:There are some riders who do not take a mate
if their dragons lose. That I do not understand. Why would they not
want to feel good? Why would they not want _us_ to feel good?:{
Catching was of course the best, but sharing pleasure with his rider
felt very good.

Rademerth presented sound logic, in Jayth's estimation, but he knew of
some dragons who rarely got to enjoy the "losing side" of a mating
flight because their rider abstained. }:Humans can be so jealous and
fickle over who they fly with.... Well, not my rider of course, but
some.:{

}:Mine is not either. Maybe that is why our riders fly together so
much.:{ Rademerth gave a little croon as J'kri felt something
particularly good.

Jayth was quiet for a long minute before shuffling his talons on the
stone restlessly, }:I think I will hunt now.:{ Flights always left him
feeling famished, and after the heat of desire had cleared out of his
system, he felt more like plucking some herdbeasts out of the Feeding
Pens.

}:I will sleep,:{ Rademerth said, shifting to a more comfortable
position. The happy glow from his rider banished the last of the
blue's frustration.

"You know, I use to hate losing mating flights until I met you."
R'axe's chest still rose and fell sharply as he trailed his fingers
over the curve of J'kri's hip.

"I've been spoiled from the start." J'kri brushed a few strands of
hair from R'axe's forehead. "When we don't chase together I'm so
disappointed."

R'axe made a small rumble of agreement in his chest. He usually always
found someone to burn off the flight lust with but it was never the
same as being with J'kri. Even the fun time he'd had with K'mai didn't
quite match the way it was with the younger bluerider. "What's worse
is when we're in a flight together and you win and then I'm left to
find someone else."

J'kri poked his chest. "Well I'm happy for _you_ when you win. Even if
it's disappointing for me."

The older bluerider laughed and rubbed at the place where J'kri poked,
"I didn't say I wasn't happy for _you_ when you win, just that it
sucks for _me_." When J'kri lost he could go find Paetri if he wanted,
while R'axe was left to find a stranger usually.

"You could come see me later when that happens." J'kri leaned closer,
licking and nibbling along R'axe's neck. "I could make it up to you
with the good kind of sucking."

Whoa! The desire that had so recently been sated began flickering back
as a shiver ghosted down R'axe's spine, "I may hold you to that."

"Would you like a demonstration?" J'kri shifted to trail kisses down
R'axe's chest. Being with R'axe still sent excitement fluttering
through his stomach, the way it had that first time.

There was no hesitation in R'axe's voice as he reached down to trail
his fingers through the younger man's short hair, which was just
beginning to get long enough to hint at curls, "Oh yes."
