Description: T'nom moves to a new home for a fresh start.
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 12, day 10 of Turn 7
It was hard to imagine moving on. But as the young man stood with his
hand perched on the foreleg of the bronze dragon, he found himself
full of an excitement he had not felt in many many months.
His eyes scanned the place he would now call home. It was quite a bit
different than his home at Dolphin Cove. No, not home anymore. Now
_this_ was home. A gust of wind sent a slight chill down the
dragonrider's back as he realized that for the first time since he'd
left home as a young boy he would have a new home.
While memories drifted back to him of times gone by, T'nom didn't feel
sadness. Instead, he felt a flicker of hope, anticipation, and drive.
He knew that Dragonsfall had lost quite a few Bronzes over the Turns,
and he could almost taste the opportunity. Maybe here he wouldn't feel
as though he was in the shadow of so many others. Maybe here he and
Taldeth would finally find their rightful place.
His only regret for leaving was knowing that Kazom was so far away. He
would still see his son on a regular basis, but not nearly as much as
if he had still been living at Dolphin Cove. Yet, regret was washed
away by the feeling of a weight being taken from him. No more would he
have to sulk in the corner, wondering what if, or what could have
been. No more would he slink away to avoid seeing the women that had
complicated his life so much.
No, now, he was free. Free to start over. Free to be someone new if he
chose. Free to see what the future would hold for him here.
