"Pardon me." R'axe said, tipping his head to a woman as he squeezed
past her in the corridor with a heavy wooden trunk lifted in his arms.
Even beneath the material of his tunic the tone condition of his body,
and the flexed tendons of his arms was easy to make out.
When he looked up to see a familiar face walking his direction, a
smile tipped across his lips, "Excuse me, sir. An Azure wingrider must
have a busy schedule, I will try to get out of your way." R'axe
winked. It really had been too long since he had seen J'kri, but
usually when he did catch a glimpse of the other bluerider he was with
Paetri or busy with Wing duties.
J'kri grinned. "Never too busy for you." His stomach fluttered.
Shards, that man was gorgeous. "Need help with that?"
"I have got it," R'axe assured J'kri. "But if you could walk ahead of
me and open the door to my weyr that would be great."
"I'd rather walk behind and admire the view." He laughed. "I'll get
the door for you."
R'axe chuckled, "Have I mentioned that I have missed you?" He said as
they came down the hallway and arrived outside of his weyr.
"So you've been thinking about me?" J'kri teased as he pushed open the door.
"Oh a little I suppose." R'axe said, a glint in his eyes as he carried
the piece of furniture through the door and then set it down inside
his weyr. Straightening he sighed and ran a hand down his lower back,
"But you have been busy keeping Paetri occupied and winning mating
flights I hear."
"Rademerth learned that lesson _very_ fast. He took losing Camilth's
first flight to heart." J'kri walked over and trailed a finger down
R'axe's chest. "But I'm glad he lost, because that's how I met you."
A grin tugged at the corner of R'axe's mouth, "Yes, well, don't let
his losing be the only excuse that brings you to my furs, hm?"
"Of course not." J'kri leaned up to kiss him. It had only been a few
sevendays, but he _did_ miss him.
The older bluerider captured J'kri's chin in hand and returnedt he
kiss with fervor, "Good." Flashing a little grin, he turned away from
J'kri for a moment to open the lid of the trunk he had just brought
in, "How are things going in your Wing?"
"Good. It's taking some adjustment but the Wingsecond says we're doing
well." Facing Thread still terrified him, but he'd been able to manage
despite the fear.
"Well, if your Wingsecond is doing well than you must be, he seems
like the no nonsense type." R'axe folded a few blankets from the back
of his couch and put them in the trunk.
"What's the trunk for?"
"I had some folks over during the black out and managed to accumulate
quite a few blankets. Now I need somewhere to store them." R'axe
wouldn't mind a black out again if it meant another excuse to cuddle
up with a few bed partners for a couple of days. "What did you do
during the black out?"
"Kept warm with Paetri." He smiled. "I also spent some time down in
the bathing caverns. Thank Faranth the water stayed warm." The idea of
bathing in cold water in a freezing Weyr made him shudder. "A lot of
people had the same idea. It was kind of like one long party."
R'axe found that he enjoyed the cold himself, despite not being a
native of Dragonsfall. Although he had to admit that living at a
tropical Weyr did have advantages-- such as people going about the
Weyr with less clothing on.
"I think I will be glad when summer gets here. How much warmer does it get?"
"A _lot_ warmer," J'kri said with a smile. "Though not as warm as the
tropical Weyrs." His eyes brightened. "We should go to the beach! I
can go wherever I want now, so it's time to start exploring."
Rademerth chimed in to say he liked that idea.
R'axe liked the idea of the beach, he especially liked the idea of the
beach with J'kri, "Sounds like a plan to me. I can't remember the last
time I went." Probably before moving to Dragonsfall.
"How about the next restday?" J'kri could already picture it, R'axe in
the warm sunlight, wearing little or nothing at all.
"Perfect." R'axe said with a sultry smile, as if sharing J'kri's
vision of their day in the sun.
