Persona Profile: Tirraze

Writer: Aaron

Name: Tirraze
Age: 18
Birthday: m8 d8
Rank: Senior Weyrling
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr

Physical Description of Persona:
Tirraze has long, flowing black hair with waves and curls. Her eyes are deep brown. She remains rather short, not quite five feet tall, and may not have much more to grow yet. She is slender and graceful and moves, stands, and speaks with such confidence that it can be easy to forget she is so tiny if not so young. Her clothing is always well cared for and very carefully chosen in an effort to make herself seem older and more mature.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Tirraze is highly motivated. She has all the ambition in the world to follow in her mother's footsteps as a Headwoman's assistant, and then from there, onward to becoming the Headwoman herself. She is meticulous in her studies and in her duties, rarely miscounting or misrecording anything, and she has the memory to ensure that she can also catch others' mistakes. To many, she can seem withdrawn and bookish, but she has a bright and outgoing side, too, most of which is displayed while not working. She is well aware of duty as well. Though her original reasons were more self-centered, she Stands now for each clutch to honor that duty.

Tirraze is close to her family, including her elder brother V'rel and considers V'rel's father A'kades to be something of an uncle to her, especially following her father's death.

History of Persona:
Tirraze was three Turns old when she, her elder brother, and her mother Vatirra and father Mezente moved to help re-establish Rising Moons Weyr. Remembering very little of their old home, she considered Rising Moons to be the only home she every truly had. As such, when her father died, and her mother chose to move the family to Dolphin Cove, she was heartbroken to leave her home as well, feeling the loss all the more keenly alone and without her friends in a new place.

Tirazze latched onto her brother Vatirel's father, A'kades, as something of a surrogate father figure of her own. She knew him well as a friendly and familiar face, as he had visited Vatirel as often as he could when they still lived away. Even before they moved, she called him Uncle A'kades.

Once the shock of being plunged into a new place had worn off, Tirraze noticed that her short stature tended to lend itself to the others she did not know from birth regarding her as younger than she truly was. When it came time to begin learning a career, Tirazze decided she would do whatever made her seem the most adult. To a twelve Turn old, that meant being just like her mother. Ever since, she has shown an aptitude for numbers and figures and the memory required to help keep track of tithes and logistics.

At the same time, she knew that Candidacy was a sure marker of her age. She began as a Candidate merely for that reason, but over time, her desire to emulate her mother merely for the purpose of looking her age grew into a true respect for both her mother's profession and the duty to keep the weyr running and the people protected. Even if that respect is still growing and maturing, the seeds have been planted.
