It's that time again and our brand spanking new issue of the newsletter is
here for you!

Here, we'll post the monthly summaries of plots and posts in all of our
active areas, as well as give info regarding member birthdays, persona
birthdays and open ranker positions. If anyone has suggestions for
improvements or has any questions or requests regarding content, then please
be sure to

TRIAD NEWS (The Weyrs):

RBW News:

The Weyr is glad to welcome a new leader. Following Tabarnith's flight,
K'sedel is now in charge of the weyr. He's joined by a new arrival as his
'second, his son K'reyel who has also recently transferred from Dream's End,
along with his new weyrmate, Mai.

Candidate Vykor seems to have settled down a little and made a few friends
at last. He's met gold weyrling Allexa and also green weyrling Nocte, who
took him on a visit to the beach.

Other weyrlings meeting people included Sereenia, she met candidate Kinear
when they discussed irrational fears. Kinear also shared a meal with bronze
weyrling S'ber, and some time with bluerider K'mai.

Allexa it seems has interests elsewhere, she paid a visit to Dolphin Cove
Weyr to see bronzerider I'lan who taught her an important 'lesson'.

It seems that the Weyrhealer's injury is worse that everyone first thought,
Ariadne went to see Tsaera intending to discuss her health and Abrei rapidly
became the topic of conversation.

Ariadne also had to deal with the pregnant old flame of her weyrmate L'keri
wanting him to visit the healers with her for a pregnancy checkup. She would
dearly love to give him a child herself, but so far there has been no sign
of that happening. Still on the subject of babies, Ariadne gave Talvan, the
son of Kitali and M'van a checkup and he was fine.

M'van recently bought a surprise for Kitali and her children. Maybe things
are changing in his relationship with Kitali?

Dolphin Cove Weyr:

Dolphin Cove Weyr is at the centre of the rescue effort to bring holders
from Topaz Sea Hold, devastated by a hurricane, to the Weyr. The Weyrleader
was woken late at night by a message from Lord Jaryd and quickly informed
the Weyrwoman and the Weyrleaders of Dragonsfall. Weyrwoman Kalina,
travelling to Topaz, found the Hold in ruins and no sign of survivors - but
Jaela, fearing for the life of Jaryd, the Lord Holder and her brother, has
travelled /between/ times in the hope of finding him before the Hold's dam
breaks. Will she and the other Weyrleaders be able to get Jaryd and the
Holders and Crafters of Topaz Sea Hold out of danger in time?

J'darin, the Weyrlingmaster Second, has been finding it hard to remain
respectful towards the new Weyrlingmaster from Dream's End - after all,
Q'dan is a brownrider, and he rides bronze! He has found sympathy with the
Weyrleader, who is himself tired of the defiance of Weyrwoman Kalina, but
will he manage to swallow his pride and work together with the other man?
Q'dan's relationship with his 'third, Xuxha, is much more cordial and the
two have been discussing some of the more mischievous weyrlings this month.
The Weyrlingmasters have introduced themselves to their charges, and Q'dan
explained his expectations of them. It remains to be seen whether they'll
live up to his hopes, but he won Oria's approval - she offered a verdict of
"so far, so good" when chatting to O'dan later. She is pleased to be a
senior weyrling, but takes seriously O'dan's warning to watch out for smooth
talking riders!

The Weyr welcomes a new healer, Journeyman Jozia, an old friend of Z'al's.
Though he helped R'taran out with a pulled muscle, he made a slight blunder
when one of his jokes fell a little flat with I'lan and he ended up getting
a sharp word or two from I'lan's wingsecond, O'dan. It looks as though he
has some adjusting to do to get used to Weyr life - though the gossips
whisper that he got on well enough with greenrider Dyaera, his flirting did
not go down so well with Savina. Meanwhile, I'lan got on much better this
month with Allexa than he did with the healer...

Dysali's newest friend is a recent arrival at the Weyr - Fiat, a gardener,
who was delighted to be introduced to young Lillyth. Fiat later ran in
(literally!) to R'taran and was annoyed by his assertion that her gardening
was "women's work" and that she might have been eating the fruit she
actually intended to grow. Elarie, meanwhile, got a visit from the Weyrwoman
herself while she was scrubbing her dragon, and found out that dragons never
get so old that they lose interest in soaking their riders whenever
possible.

Yet another new arrival, V'drare, shared dinner with the Weyrwoman and the
two got on well, despite Kalina having disagreed with his promotion at
K'shi's expense. The children from Emerald Falls Hold are finding their new
home less pleasing, and Fenriela has been skipping classes, prompting Harper
Veyda to complain to her foster parents. Cadenry and Efina will need great
patience if they are ever to reconcile the girl to Weyrlife.

K'win and Xarene remain apart, though they are clearly missing one another.
In a tense conversation, Xarene said that she would allow K'win to be
present at the birth of their child, but he was clearly hoping for more. In
happier news, Savina and G'larn have had a quiet and comfortable evening
together.

Finally, the Weyr offers congratulations to Mayla, the Headwoman, who is
soon to become a grandmother after her daughter announced that she was
pregnant!

There's plenty going on at Dolphin Cove Weyr, from the wide-ranging plots
involving the Topaz flood and the tension between the Weyrleaders to the
comic behaviour of some of the more troublesome weyrlings, from the flirting
of the Weyr's lively riders to the deep relationships between long-standing
couples. We warmly welcome all new personas and would be pleased to have
many more!

DFW News.

There's been several changes at Dragonsfall lately.

There is a new Weyrhealer, Master Optham, who has taken over the infirmary
after the departure of Master Rigmor. He has visited with the Weyrwoman to
discuss her health and to inquire if she needed anything from the infirmary.
The Weyrwoman in turn made sure he had adequate supplies and staff to do his
job.

The Weyrharper Yanrik was seen flirting with greenrider Sarian over wine
recently. Was it because of too much wine or are there problems between
Yanrik and his wife after the loss of their son?

Jarri and X'reep seem to be unsure of where their relationship is going.
Jarri recently was informed by the Weyrwoman that her sister is at Amethyst
Cliff Hold and the greenrider asked to bring her to the Weyr. Kirynth rose
and a visiting dragon from River Bluff was the victor. Perhaps the old
memories of her life before she Impressed will be put to rest after the
discoveries she made or is it just the dragonlust? Only time will tell on
this.
Karaya had a meeting with I'zet and she showed him some formations that she
had come up with. I'zet told her that he considered formations from all
riders when she was hesistant about showing them to him.

The Weyrleaders have been called to Dolphin Cove to assist in the rescue
efforts at Topaz Sea Hold. This is a personal issue for the Weyrwoman as her
brother is the Lord Holder. They've gone /between/ times in hopes of
stopping the loss of the holders lives. Will the Weyrs be able to rescue the
holders in time?

The Weyr is in need of a Wingleader for Cyan wing, a Weyrlingmaster for
Cerulean wing, wingseconds and wingthirds. If any of these positions strikes
your fancy, do let the Weyrleader know.

TRIAD WEYRS HOLDS AND HALLS:
=====
Emerald Falls Hold:

Change has been the theme of the month at Emerald Falls, with the restored
leadership working to remove all traces of Cazriel's short reign. Anaia and
Arani have been working to rid the hold of the furnishings brought in by the
usurper's wives, while Enrizial seeks to right a wrong by restoring his
illegitimate daughter, Rizella, to her mother. But Lady Anaia has her own
plans for the woman and child - she would prefer to see them out of Emerald
Falls, where they can never pose a threat to her own children. Will she see
her plans succeed, or could this cause a deep rift between her and her
husband?

Young Reilina's surprise Impression of a firelizard has changed her life,
and she now finds herself assigned to assisting the Headwoman. Despite being
in trouble with Enrizial, she could find that her hatchling has changed her
life significantly for the better...but when she was found by Master Miranek
hanging around the Infirmary, it became clear that her true ambitions lie
elsewhere.

Meanwhile in the Infirmary, the tension between Journeymen Keromal and
Dikero grows day by day. Keromal's attempt to discredit Dikero by reporting
his teaching of Reilina to the Lord Holder may have landed the conservative
healer in trouble, since Dikero didn't find it hard to figure out who had
been complaining about him!

Emerald Falls has been on edge this month and the tensions are bound to boil
over shortly - promising an interesting and turbulent time for its residents
in the months to come!

ACH News:

The hold is excited about the upcoming marriage of Lord Alalir and Lady
Enriline. Enriline and her daughter, Lindria, met with the Hold seamstress
and Lindria managed to make her poor mother blush more than once during the
encounter. She and the seamstress hoped that once the marriage had taken
place, that Lady Enriline would once again be the confident woman she used
to be.

Alalir and Enriline met to go over wedding invitations and once again,
Alalir assured his soon to be bride that she mattered to him and was an
important facet of his life now.

In less pleasant news, Mariss confronted her father, Steward Cyrek,
regarding his refusal to let Valand court her. The encounter left both out
of sorts--and unfortunately solved nothing. Will Cyrek give in or will they
have to ignore his decree?

Vivvi and Lindria spent a pleasant afternoon going through clothing for the
little one Lindria was caring. Both women got a bit of amusement out of the
many 'bobble hats and mittens' to be found.

Elira, young daughter of one of the holders, ran away from home and sought
refuge at the Hold proper. Appalled at the obvious abuse the child had
suffered, both Alalir and Cyrek assured her they would help her and agreed
to contact her older sister, Jarri of Dragonsfall. Alalir vowed to keep a
close watch on the Holder in question. Unfortunately the political climate
of the South limits what he can do, but his guards can certain make sure
that the holder aware of his precence!

At the bandit camp, Jerandra continued to sew dissention, this time
convincing Sorell that Voltar had forced her into bed against her will. The
naive bandit fell for her tale and promised to help her all he could in her
mad desire to retake her home Hold.

There's so much more going on and we're still looking for eager writers
willing to join Amethyst Cliff.

We're still looking for a Hold cook, as well as those willing to join the
Vintner Hall or adopt some of the interesting characters we have available.!

GVH News:

Nikanna's secret identity turned out to be not as secret as she hoped.
During a gitar lesson with the Carlan, Lady Thalia realized that the
harper's new wife was not only a member of the Blood, but a childhood
playmate.

Nikanna and Carlan might be worried that Thalia will tell Aswic about them,
but Thalia is worried how the news will affect Aswic. To this end she has
recruited Auren to help keep Nikanna's secret a secret for a while longer.

The old Headwoman stepped down recently, leaving the path clear for her
assistant to take her place. Auren's opinion of her certainly isn't very
high, but her motivations might be more sinister than even the Steward
suspects.

Plots are heating up at the Hold so create a persona today and jump
into the mix!

TSH-Printer Hall:

Natural disaster has accomplished what the return of Thread has failed to
do...
a massive hurricane has caused the complete destruction of Hold and Halls at
Topaz Sea Hold!

Hallmaster Donnigan and the rest of the Printer Hall staff, rescued by the
wings from Dolphin Cove Weyr "in the nick of time", have taken refuge at the
Weyr and are contemplating what to do next.

Can the printers find a new location to rebuild the Printer Hall? Stay
tuned, to find out! Better yet, take on one of our adoptable personas, or
create one of your own, and help in the effort!

EFH-HH News

The investigation into who has been sending obscene drawings to one of
Gilas' ex-models continues, and Ryhani's modeling schedule has been changed
to reflect this. What will Ryndel do when he finds out his daughter is
occupying a potentially dangerous occupation, as well as a morally suspect
one?

Big things are in the works for the Harper Hall, and connections are being
made. There are many interesting characters up for adoption should you wish
to get in on the action, and there's plenty of room to create a wandering
harper of your very own. Keep your eyes on the by-lines to see what's going
to happen next!
