It's that time again and our brand spanking new issue of the newsletter is
here for you!

Here, we post the monthly summaries of plots and posts in all of our active
areas, as well as give info regarding member birthdays, persona birthdays
and open ranker positions. If anyone has suggestions for improvements or
has any questions or requests regarding content, then please be sure to
email me at bree@triadweyrs.org.

WEYR NEWS & HAPPENINGS:

** RBW News **

Weyrling Shayla went to see J'an to get some advice on the best way to make
riding straps. Shayla and Gaiya also found time to discuss men, and how
complicated relationships with them could be.

L'maret and Kesta have been fighting, but even so, he refused Tacialorah's
tempting offer to spend the night in her weyr.

A new greenrider, Syntara arrived at River Bluff from Dragonsfall. She was
welcomed by K'sedel. She also met K'reyel, but was dismayed to find out
about his weyrmate. Finally Syntara found a chance to talk to Ar'lis about
the night Gaiya caught them in a compromising situation. Although later on
Gaiya and Ar'lis managed to talk about it themselves.

Weyrling Kinear had a discussion with K'mai about the need to eat to keep
herself going during training.

The morning after Ciara's green Ellianith rose, Soliera decided to take
breakfast to her. But she was unprepared to find that K'sedel had stayed
with Ciara and ended up leaving hurriedly. It seems that the greenrider
keeps running into the Weyrleader, not quite a sevenday later the pair met
whilst bathing their dragons, and again a few days later at a concert given
by the Weyr's children. If there is a budding relationship there, what will
brownrider R'yin, the father of Ciara's daughter, think about that.

Abrei had a surprise visitor from Dragonsfall Weyr, U'kiah came to see what
if anything they could do to help Jiyavala and U'val after the death of
Jiyavala's daughter (U'val's great- granddaughter). R'han spent sometime
trying to persuade Abrei not to work so hard, only time will tell if he was
successful in that endeavour.

Soliera lent a hand to the new Weyrwoman Second. Lenala doesn't quite fit
the picture of a goldrider, but being new to the Weyr deserves a chance.

K'reyel and Mai share an intimate interlude in the classrooms. It leads to
a discussion about starting a family of their own sometime soon.

For Tsaera, things just don't seem to go smoothly. K'sedel found her asleep
at her desk, then her daughter told her she wanted to leave the Weyr.
Finally she had to speak to Lenala about the importance of duty.

J'an found time to bathe his bronze, with the aid of Kitali's elder son
Lidrin. Like most of the youngsters in the weyr, the boy is obsessed with
dragons. J'an also managed to speak to S'ber about how he was fitting into
his new placement in the wings.

An evil plot is about to be launched at River Bluff, now would be the time
to adopt or create a character here. You know you want to....

** DFW News **

Dragonsfall has a new Weyrwoman Second. Traelyn and her gold Nyith have
transfered in from Far Island Weyr to give our hardworking Weyrwoman some
much deserved help. Jaela met with the new goldrider and they discussed
what duties Traelyn liked to do as well as what she disliked. After the
business was out of the way, Jaela showed her around the senior and ranking
members area with an offer to have dinner in her weyr that evening.

Jaela, Arilanna, J'klin, Optham, Halli

While helping Arilanna pick herbs, greenrider Halli fell ill as they were
preparing to head back to the Weyr. Luckily J'klin and Nimyth were on
sweepriding duty near enough to hear Jaquiath's call and came to the
rescue. Once everyone is safely back, they get Halli to the infirmary where
Nedan and Arilanna go through the herb bags. They found aconite mixed in
with one of the bags that Halli had been gathering. Jaela made a visit to
see what had happened as the greenrider was in her wing. Halli will
recover, but needs to stay for three days for observation.

N'klar and U'kaiah get very, very drunk while testing out four new wines
that the bluerider had gotten from the vinter hall. They get to the point
where they lose feeling and can't even talk or walk properly.

Abrei informed U'kaiah that Jivyavala's daughter died when she arrived with
U'val. She suspected that she was sent to the Wingleader until her anger
died down about not being able to save the young girl. Sometime later,
U'val and Abrei come back to see Jivyavala and U'kaiah has lunch with the
Weyrhealer. They talk about her days at Dragonsfall and how she's changed
since then.

Jiyavala is comforted by N'klar who brings wine and offers to stay with her
until she kicks him out. In the meantime, Sarian arrives at his weyr
expecting him to be there and is angry that he isn't there. N'klar decides
that Jiyavala needs him more and Sarian would be able to find someone to
entertain her.

U'kaiah bumps into Jaela after the mating flight and flirts with her. He
gets really close and then whispers congratulations before walking away
leaving her standing there shocked.

Sarian walks into U'kaiah's weyr and starts disrobing as she heads past him
straight for the Wingleader's bathing pool. The surprised bronzerider gives
her a massage and they end up kissing which leads to more.

J'klin & U'kaiah make a bet on a game of waterball that they were playing
in the following restday. The waterball game was enjoyed by many other
members of the Weyr including Knara, Laithyne, and H'tri. An impending
storm caused the game to be called a tie with an offer of a rematch at
another time.

The Weyrleaders have a very open relationship despite their attachment to
one another. They spent some well deserved time together after Calyth's
mating flight where they both were relieved that they were still leading
the Weyr together. D'wrayt visits Arilanna and receives a massage. He
leaves her to finish her shift with an offer of food and wine waiting for
her in his weyr when she was done.

After having been rescued and recovering at Dolphin Cove Weyr. The Topaz
Lord Holder's brother, Krystof, and his daughter, Kailen, came to see Jaela
and Jaryd. They discussed the possibility of Jaryd suffering and how he
wouldn't want that.

** DCW News **

Dolphin Cove Weyr is as busy as usual this month! Dysali has been assigned
a new buddy... the ever enthusiastic R'yal. Only time will tell what R'yal
will teach Dysali about the ways of the Weyr. Dysali also found a few
moments to catch up with Zanie, one of the older dolphineers who is staying
at Dolphin Cove while they discuss rebuilding. Graduating from the Weyrling
Wing is bringing a lot of excitement to Dysali's life--knowing that she
needs to prepare herself for her dragon's first flight is stressful. Her
discussion with D'ren on the matter didn't go well--D'ren is not far enough
in his weyrling training to be able to help her. She's been getting
friendly I'lan lately, though, so maybe things are looking up for her, if
not for D'ren.

Luckily for D'ren, D'cal is always there to talk to him. And it seems that
the Weyrleader has taken an interest in D'ren as well--if only to ensure
that the Weyr's newest bronzerider doesn't turn into a copy of J'darin. It
doesn't seem likely to happen--J'darin certainly hasn't made himself
popular with D'ren, possibly due to the fact that the Weyrlingmaster Second
can't seem to help making rude comments about D'cal. Even after promising
Dyaera that he would try to be nice to D'cal, J'darin couldn't seem to help
but offending the poor blue weyrling.

D'cal didn't have a great month. Between J'darin and Dyaera, things don't
seem to be going well for the poor weyrling. As hard as he tried not to be
jealous when their friend J'tak won Dyaera's mating flight, it seems that
D'cal and Dyaera can't see eye to eye on the way a relationship should be.
Dyaera tried to explain her confusion to D'cal, but D'cal wasn't too
impressed to learn that Dyaera had spent time in J'darin's bed. Dyaera
doesn't seem to understand D'cal's point of view--as evidenced by the fact
that she spent a little more time in J'darin's bed and expected D'cal to
not mind. It looks like these two many not be happily ever after.

D'cal isn't the only person J'darin seems to be having problems getting
along with--K'deren and J'darin haven't resolved their differences yet.

There's a new candidate at the Weyr who comes to us from Dolphin Hall!
Luckily for Saivin, with the Dolphin Hall nearby, he can still find time to
go back and visit old friends.

Oria and A'se had an uncomfortable morning after the bluerider tried to
sneak out after a night spent together.

Jyramikah and C'lor had a talk about children and flits over the evening
meal.

** ACH News **

The search for Lady Anaia's children has culminated in the discovery by
Captain Dabryn of two young women with the babies at an abandoned hold. To
everyone's relief, the children are unharmed. It remains to be seen what
fate awaits the two kidnappers.

Congratulations are due to Badia, the daughter of Bolard and Dadria, who is
to marry the Vintner Hallmaster on the third restday of the month! The
wedding will be held at the Vintner Hall, but guests from the Hold,
including the Lord and Lady, are expected for such a prestigous occasion.

The Hold welcomes two new residents - a young widow named Lymria and her
baby son Omrian, who have already been befriended by Enlira.

And rumour suggests that Mariss' interest in the Hold's Harper is waning as
her friendship with a certain vintner journeymen grows - is this true, or
could it be her father, the Steward, who would prefer a more settled
craftsman as her husband?

** ACH-VH News **

Romance has been in the air at Vinter Hall... unfortunatly, none of it
between the recently wed Miryene and Jhonnel. Their wedding, attended by a
glaring Hallmaster and Cinale, was hardly a happy affair, and it seems
things aren't going well for the couple. Miryene has confided to Jio that
Jhonnel seems distant... and that she's not sure things are going to be as
happy as she hoped. Jio and Cinale are worried about their friend.

Rumour around the Hall is that Fielton will be married soon as well. The
third restday of the month passed without the wedding everyone thought was
coming, but the presence of a pretty young redhead around the Hall recently
seems to be giving support to those rumours. Maybe the Hallmaster won't be
so grumpy in months to come!

** EFH News **

Emerald Falls is up in arms this month after the circulation of a
scurrilous ballad believed to have originated in the rival holding of
Amethyst Cliff. The song tells the story of the three Ladies from Emerald
Falls who chose to leave the Hold and seek a new life at Lord Alalir's Hold
- two of them having since found husbands to their liking there!

The song has been banned in Emerald Falls on grounds of indecency, but
snatches are still to be heard in an increasingly rebellious Harper Hall,
where there are rumoured to be plans to allow a talented young woman to
apprentice alongside the boys.

Enrizial has discussed with Miranek the possibility of hiring a new
journeyman healer for the Hold, in the hope that the unpleasant Journeyman
Keromal may take the hint and retire elsewhere.

Journeyman Kiyan continues to have a far more cordial relationship with his
wife than does the Lord Holder, though Enrizial might be less than pleased
to find out how she helps him by copying up his reports. Fayne also keeps
herself busy with the mammoth task of keeping the Hold in a fit state.
Though she is hampered by the absence of Lady Anaia and a lack of
authority, she has been doing her best - and as if the tasks of cleaning
the Hold and deciphering her husband's handwriting were not enough, she has
also been trying to persuade the lonely young hold girl Reilina to open up
a little.

** GVH News **

There's not much to say about Garnet Valley Hold... aside from the fact
that the Headwoman is insane and a little scary, and apparently wants to
kill everyone. With the exception of Aswic, who she wants for her very own.
This is highly disturbing.

** GVH-SH News **

This month started off slow for the Smithhall, but things are getting more
interesting.

Daynar is invited to dinner with Fielton and his family, and takes his
whole family, thinking of planning a different kind of relationship between
the two Halls. Daynar is thinking of finding suitable wives for his two
remaining single sons, and also might be seeking a journeyman Vintner
husband for his daughter, Otrina.

Chynna, who unbeknownst to Daynar is the thief he is so desperately
seeking, is given free access to Daynar's workship. The narrow minded
Hallmaster has _no_ idea what he has done.

There have been several new 'sonas created at the Smithhall and MORE TO
COME. Please join in the action now! Will Daynar discover Chynna is the
thief? What will happen then? Will he find good wives for his sons?

corrections and a writing sample at least 5K long.
