** RBW News **

S'ber and Dylorth spent a quiet restday lounging on the beach with his green
flit Simay, they seem to have had a good time there.

Brownrider T'voal came to visit weyrling Shayla after his niece took a turn
for the worse. She was able to give him the comfort he needed after he told
her just how sick the child was. U'val also needed comfort after receiving
the same news, this was provided by Gaiya. Almost a sevenday later, T'voal
visited River Bluff again, this time to share a meal with his grandfather
U'val and Shayla.

In the meantime it seems that Abrei's young apprentice Tiya has gone
missing. Concerned by the disappearance, R'han and Abrei went to the
Weyrwoman. Abrei and R'han suspect that she(Tiya) may have been taken from
the Weyr against her will, possibly to Emerald Falls. On going to look for
her there, Tiya's father denied all knowledge of where she might be, as did
Lord Enrizial. After a tiring day, Abrei was more than glad to seek comfort
from R'han.

Arten, L'keri's young son stole some time to visit Shayla and her dragonet
Kiranth whilst on the way to get his hand checked out by the healers after
the tunnel snake bit him. Talking of L'keri, K'reyel spoke to him about his
use of timing to get to his son. As a father himself, K'reyel could
understand why L'keri had done what he did, but it had to be put on L'keri's

Greenrider P'veas managed to help Gaiya out of a crisis. The fostermother
had managed to tear her favorite dress. Fortunately, with P'veas having
trained as a tailor before Impressing, he was able to repair the damage.

Shayla also ran into L'maret. It seemed that both riders wanted to bathe the
dragons, but their dragons preferred to play in the water. L'maret had a
massage from Leora, leading to some confusion on his weyrmate's part, Kesta
managed to jump to the wrong conclusion, thinking that something more
intimate was going on. L'maret went back to find Leora later and apologize
for Kesta's assumptions.

Gaiya apparently has a crush on bronzerider Ar'lis. He seems unaware of this
fact, although the two have managed to talk again and get to know one
another a bit better. Gaiya also caught up with L'maret, the two were
childhood friends

The new Weyrharper, Brender, met Lenala, the Weyrwoman 2nd. The two seemed
to get on very well

Greenrider Nytha's Tagrerth rose for the first time, she was chased by
M'van's blue Kiloth, K'reyel's Erdenth and Ar'lis' Zylarth. Tagrerth chose
Zylarth as the one she wanted.

Weyrleader K'reyel found time to make a brief visit to Dolphin cove weyr to
congratulate his son on the hatching sired by his eldest's brown. He also
managed to catch up with his daughter Akessa.

As you can see, there is plenty going on at RBW. Come and join us, there's
need of a Wingleader, a wingsecond and a WLM2nd. Adopt someone, or create
your own.

** DFW News **

U'kaiah and D'brek had a difference of opinion as to the nature of D'brek's
job description. The wingleader thought that as a bronzerider D'brek was in
a leadership position in the wing instead of simply there to fight thread.

Caellin stops by to see how Dayla was doing and the greenrider guesses that
Caellin was pregnant before the healer could get the words out. They
discussed when Dayla was going to be able to get out of bed. It looks like
it won't be much longer before the greenrider will be off bedrest.

X'reep and Jarri met up near the weyrlake and discussed whether or not
X'reep was being pushy. They settled on playing a game of chess and maybe
dragonpoker that night since her sister would be staying at a friend's weyr.

Sarian falls into J'klin after having a few too many drinks as she goes to
approach him about spending the evening together. The brownrider ends up
carrying her to his weyr while she holds onto the bottle of wine.

R'vanil seeks out Yanrik to ask if he and Caellin would come give Dayla
someone else to look at besides himself that evening and have dinner with
them. They discussed how the pregnancy was hard on the greenrider and the
Weyrharper agreed that he and Caellin would come visit.

D'mari asks Trynia if she wants to spend the night with him after she shows
up at his weyr. She had thought she was hearing voices and got scared so she
came to him for comfort. Zoranth insists that the young woman can hear them,
but the two think the idea is crazier than what she thought she heard.

Hanni has her first jump /between/ that marks her transistion to senior
weyrling status. To celebrate she goes in search of D'brek who is more than
willing to help her celebrate. They work their way back to her small weyr on
the mid-level as they remind each other what she missed during her junior
weyrling days.

Ayrati gets Treadoryth to rouse D'wrayt from bed so that she could ask him a
favor of arranging for them to go somewhere for Knara's birthday. The
Weyrleader agrees and hurries back to the woman he had grudgingly left
because of his

** DCW News **

O'dan's attempts to settle into his new position as Weyrleader have not gone
quite so well as they could have. After accepting an invitation to R'yal's
birthingday celebration, the new Weyrleader spent the evening playing
drinking games with R'yal, A'zer, Terissa and K'nure. He must have lost more
than a few rounds, because he woke up the next morning in Terissa's bed...
and was a little nonplussed to find K'nure with them. Not even gossip around
the Weyr at the new Weyrleader's lack of dignity seems to concern O'dan.

Kalina tried to have a discussion with T'moran as the former Weyrleader
moved out of his weyr, but it seems the two still don't get along. The fact
that T'moran's replacement seems incompetent doesn't help--and only time
will tell how T'moran will react to the fact that O'dan has decided to
relieve him of his duties and send him to work with J'darin with the
Weyrlings. O'dan took over T'moran's wing, and has asked the previous
Weyrlingmaster, Q'dan, to be his 'second. Maybe Q'dan's experience will help
keep Dolphin Cove running.

The weyrlingstaff have discussed the new graduating class of Weyrlings, and
it looks like O'dan's going to have to have his first official ceremony
welcoming them to the wings.

The middle of the month brought a Hatching! Doren may have been nervous
after being left on the Sands before, but he had no need for concern this
time! D'ren is the newest bronzerider at Dolphin Cover Weyr. His friend,
Dacraslar--now D'cal--also Impressed. Dyaera watched the Hatching with a few
overly enthusiastic friends who all seemed interested in the fact that D'cal
found himself a blue dragon--Dyaera may be in for a little more competition
for the handsome seacrafter than she expected. The fact that Dyaera finally
got her long awaited kiss just before the Hatching might make things a
little interesting--but it seemed impressive enough to hold her attention.
While Dyaera congratulated D'cal, Dysali congratulated D'ren, and things
seem to be going well for this pair of friends as well. K'sedel also stopped
by to visit his daughter Akessa.

D'cal's life as a weyrling may not be easy, as J'darin has taken it into his
head to torment the boy over the new bluerider's supposed mistreatment of

Life is exciting at Dolphin Cove Weyr, especially with a Weyrleader more
interesting in drinking and ladies than flight patterns and responsibility.
It's only a matter of time until something goes wrong... don't you want to
be there?

** ACH News **

New at the Hold is Journeyman Dikero, who seems to be liking the atmosphere
of his new home much more than that of Emerald Falls already. He was warmly
welcomed by Lord Alalir - and by Targe, who is heartily grateful to have
another healer to share the workload.

Lady Calanna is not settling in so easily, however, and clashed with a
former "friend", Moura. She found herself relegated to duties with the
fosterlings by Lady Enriline, despite her rank, and was discomfited when she
teasingly threatened to banish her husband, Jeralir, to sleep on the couch
in the rooms and found that he'd no intention of meekly obeying her.

Headwoman Vivvi has visited Ladies Anaia and Lindria and their new babies,
and offered them gifts. Anaia has had further reason to be cheerful - she
received a courteous letter from her husband, and broke the news to Lindria
and Lady Enriline that she hopes it will not be long before she can return
home. Lindria was delighted to hear of the improved relations between her
brother and sister-in-law and teased Alajeran with the news when he returned
from the fields - unaware that he had been the cause of Enrizial's change of

Jio has been a very busy journeyman. Along with teaching apprentices--and
trying to get Symion to show a little bit of attention to his duties--he has
recruited Aelin to pick some herbs for his special projects. He's also
gotten to know both Miryene and Cinale, and seems quite popular with the
ladies of the Vinter Hall.

Jielta managed to make supper for her father and sister, and Fielton seemed
pleased enough at his daughter's skill. Fieayz was challenged by her sister
to make dinner for the family to prove that she has learned just as much
about womenly skills as her sister has.

Most of the excitement at Vinter Hall has come from the party in honor of
Lady Enriline. Everyone who was anyone was there, mingling and enjoying
themselves and filling Fielton's coffers with enough marks to make him
polite to everyone involved--even the Weyrwoman and Weyrleader of
Dragonsfall Weyr. D'wrayt and Jaela also enjoyed a few moments with Alalir
and Enriline.

Fielton did find time to speak to young Badia again, and surprised her by
showing some interest in making the girl his wife. Her demure and sweet act
obviously fooled him--but his haste in marrying her before he even knows her
might be something he comes to regret later.

There's lots of fun to be found at Vinter Hall, so make or adopt a character

** EFH News **

Emerald Falls welcomes some new residents this month - senior journeyman
vintner Kiyan and his wife Fayne. Kiyan has been hired to establish new
vineyards at Emerald Falls in order to give the Hold a wine supply of its
own - and hopefully, one day, act as a rival to those of Amethyst Cliff.

Congratulations are due to the newest Holder, Zathris, who has been granted
his own lands on which to build a farm. His high birth and the support of
Enrizial's closest ally, Kohler, were enough to make the Lord Holder's
approval virtually certain.

And the Lord Holder has been writing more tentative letters to his wife,
Anaia, who is still at Amethyst Cliff. Could a reconciliation be in store?

Gridis' loss is still felt by the Harper Hall, although perhaps not as
keenly as that felt by his former pupil, Calenta. Calenta made the journey
to the Hall to lay flowers on his grave, but also to talk to the Hallmaster.
They have arranged that she might continue her singing lessons with one of
the journeymen. What will happen if her husband finds out - or her Lord

The 23rd was Nathyneil's birthingday, and apprentice Printer Caelzair and
his sister Claya made sure to wish him well. The harper apprentice was happy
that someone remembered.

The Harper and Printer Halls have a variety of opportunities for creative
writers with a way with words. Don't hesitate to create - or adopt - a
persona for this area!

Things aren't going so well at Garnet Valley Hold. Lord Aswic's continuing
attempts to understand and connect to Thalia seem doomed to failure. As if
that weren't bad enough, there seems to have been an outbreak of violence.
Ryalane's husband was attacked outside the tavern after being drawn there by
an unsigned note. Found bruised and bleeding, he was rushed to Ledan. Only
later did Briton admit to his wife that his attacker had spoken to him,
telling him to keep his meddling wife out of other people's business.
Ryalane didn't suspect Verora until after Briton told her the truth, but
Auren has already promised to keep more than one eye on the suspicious
acting Headwoman.

Ledan's daughter visited Sirela near the end of the month, upset by rumours
that her father might have been paying special attention to the young widow.
Sirela tried to reassure the girl that her father was simply a friend--but
Tilla was not to be consoled. After arguing with herself for nearly a
sevenday, Sirela finally told Ledan what Tilla had said, and promised him
that she wouldn't let Tilla destroy their friendship.

Things have settled down a bit at the Smithhall. Daynar loves his new
position, and has managed to squash rumors that he is an overbearing prig.
His son tried to visit him because he was going to be a father, but Daynar
wanted nothing to do with his bluerider son. There is a rumor, however, that
he is going to try to take the child from River Bluff Weyr, where he thinks
'it will be brainwashed'.

A few pieces of silver have gone missing lately, and the Smithhall master is
dead set upon finding the culprit or culprits and punishing them to the full
extent of the law, and maybe beyond.

Visiting with Fielton the Vintnerhall master, Daynar finds his daughter one
bride too late for the Master Vintner, but he still enjoys the party at the

We need more folks to play these characters! Be on the lookout for adoptable
personas of Daynar's children, especially the disowned bluerider. He
promises to be an interesting one.
