It's that time again and our brand spanking new issue of the newsletter is
here for you!

Here, we'll post the monthly summaries of plots and posts in all of our
active areas, as well as give info regarding member birthdays, persona
birthdays and open ranker positions. If anyone has suggestions for
improvements or has any questions or requests regarding content, then please
be sure to email me at nici@triadweyrs.org.


RBW News

Ariadne and Abrei met and discussed various things, before Ariadne confessed
to sleeping with R'han. It seems that their friendship will survive this
admission. In fact, Abrei even relaxed to the point of falling asleep in the
weyr Ariadne shares with L'keri. Surprisingly, L'keri behaved himself! Abrei
is making progress in her recuperation at last.

K'reyel dragged his daughter to Kitali, to make her apologise for
misbehaving as she did at the crèche and upsetting Lidrin.

Tsaera and K'sedel got to know each other better, sharing a meal together. K
'sedel also met with Abrei to ask for extra reports on the fitness of the
riders in the Weyr. K'sedel also received an unexpected visitor. Yvonnes,
his former Weyrwoman at Dream's End came to visit her daughter and dropped
off a few things that he had left behind when he transferred.

Werylingmaster J'an met up with Arima for a few 'samples' of her wares. It
seems that they were more alcoholic than he thought, or perhaps mixing them
with medicine was not a good idea; the Weyrlingmaster ended up a little
worse for wear.

DCW News:

The aftermath of the storm at Topaz Sea Hold has been in everyone's minds at
the Weyr in the last days of month 2. After discussing the problem with
Xuxha, Weyrlingmaster Q'dan has been taking care of the weyrlings -
including Dyaera, K'win and Z'al - who have family and friends in the area
that was hit. Q'dan later accompanied K'win back to his home to seek his
family, but found only the ruins of their cot. It remains to be seen whether
he will find them again at Dragonsfall Weyr. There is tension, too, between
Rystili and Tamron as they decide what to do about the destruction of their
Hall.

The Weyrwoman has been doing her best to annoy an indifferent T'moran by
spending the night with as many of Dolphin Cove's bronzeriders as possible -
including N'klos, V'drare, O'dan and even traditionalist J'darin in the
aftermath of Ikoladith's flight! It remains to be seen whether this will be
enough to rid her of her current Weyrleader come Moriath's next rising.

J'darin may have been unlucky in Ikoladith's flight (which he took out on
the unfortunate K'deren later) but his Hasaarth did manage to catch Dyaera's
green Tilarth in her first rising. C'lor's mind has been on mating flights
too, and he approached Xuxha for a bit of advice on how to approach women!
Other Weyr rumours have N'klos inviting Yannis back to his weyr for a long,
hot bath...

Savina and G'larn have named their newborn son Gaivin, and the brownrider
helped her back to her weyr. Though she still remains confused about her
feelings for him, the outlook for these two is more promising than ever!
Other younglings in the Weyr include I'lan's puppies, and he proudly showed
them off to A'rand.

The Weyr said goodbye to the Printers, who have moved to their new home in
Emerald Falls, while the Dolphineers are searching for a location for their
Hall in the Weyr's territory - much to the pleasure of the Weyrleaders.
Greenrider Alaya also left along with her weyrmate and children, much to the
disappointment of Alesia.

And finally - S'ranel, green Tayruth's rider, may end up in trouble. After
being distracted by his dragon, he has misplaced some Threadfall charts!
Let's hope he finds them again...

DFW News

Lord Jaryd is still unresponsive despite the best efforts of Master Optham's
healers and the Weyrwoman's dedication to read daily to her brother. Only
time will tell whether the Lord Holder of Topaz Seahold will awaken and
begin to rebuild his hold.

Greenrider Jiyavala's daughter Myiva came into the infirmary and was seen by
Caellin. The young girl had been in several times before this visit. The
young girl had been treated for colds and other infections, but they haven't
gotten better. Caellin is asked to come to the infirmary by T'voal five days
later when Myiva is running a fever and will let only Caellin treat her.
U'val brings River Bluff Weyr's Weyrhealer Abrei with him to visit his
family. Abrei and Caellin look in on the young girl and Caellin decides to
try a new form of therapy to rehydrate her. Abrei and Caellin have a chance
to talk before she and U'val have to go back to River Bluff. Caellin is
thinking about pediatrics as a specialty and Abrei remarks that she would be
good at it. They discussed Myiva's condition and both had come to the
conclusion that it was a blood infection from the test results. Caellin
later plays chess with Myiva and decides that she has to tell Jiyavala about
her daughter's condition.

Caellin and Yanrik are still having problems. He's been avoiding her. Dayla
talked with the journeywoman healer about ways to get Yanrik to listen to
her. Later on in the month, Caellin returns to their weyr to find Yanrik
there working on his instruments. They end up fighting and he forces himself
upon her without giving a thought to her feelings. Afterwards they realized
that neither one of them hated the other one. Perhaps they will be able to
rebuild their marriage afterall.

Dayla sees Sarian while she's at the weyrlake and asks her to stay away from
Yanrik. Sarian in turn asks Dayla if she wanted a man. In her quest to rid
herself of N'klar, Sarian also persuaded X'reep into speaking with the
bluerider by sleeping with him.

Jarri's younger sibling Elira is starting harper classes after they spoke
with Weyrharper Yanrik.

Both of the Weyrwoman's bronzeriders have tried to help her forget about her
brother's condition for awhile. D'brek surprised her with a picnic after
leaving her a bottle of wine and a note to meet him on the plateau. She
wandered into D'wrayt's weyr after being unable to sleep to find him still
awake. He admitted that he loved her as they held each other in the dark.
D'brek asked Jaela to meet him on the plateau on another evening. They went
for a short walk and ended up at a blanket containing a bottle of wine. As
they enjoyed the wine, the two admitted that they cared for one another.

D'mari was the target of a flying mudball by a young weyrbrat. He was
reminded that he need to have fun sometimes as well as be a dragonrider when
he engaged in a mud fight with his friend Trynia.

Jaela also found time to visit with the assisstant headwoman Chiarina to let
her know where to send her breakfast because she didn't like her sweetrolls
cold. They discussed the Weyrleader and his penchant for food. Jaela also
asked if Chiarina would stop being so soft and not feed the weyrlings sweets
as she scolded them.

TRIAD WEYRS HOLDS & HALLS

GVH News:

There's been a lot of information battered about Garnet Valley of late. Not
the least of which is the arrival of a new Hallmaster for the Smithcraft
Hall!

Aswic was released from his forced rest and has gotten back to part time
work. He did surprise his cousin, however, when he asked him about finding
someone to help him out with some of his other duties. Cutting back won't be
easy for the normally active Lord Holder, and who knows if he'll be able to
keep it up.

The Lord also found out about Carlan and Nikanna and didn't react as badly
as feared. It seems he empathizes with them in their love and being forced
to hide it for so long as he'd done the same for a number of turns with his
lover Kelvarand.

Shortly after, he spoke with his cousin and agreed that things had been
handled as best they could.

It also seems that the Lady Holder is pregnant, finally. She broke the news
to the Lord Holder while they argued in the middle of the hallway. He seems
totally lost and doesn't understand her and it appears she's not
understanding him much either. Will they ever be able to communicate?

There's also a new arrival who's going to be tending the herb garden. Edevor
seems to have some connection to the new Headwoman, but what is he there
for? And what is he up to?

It would also appear that the Lord is completely oblivious to the new
Headwoman and she wasn't too happy about that. What will his indifference do
to her working relationship?

It seems there are a lot of unanswered questions around Garnet Valley. The
only way to find out more is to join in the fun! Come on, you know you want
to!

EFH News:

Emerald Falls is buzzing with gossip about the sudden disappearance of Lady
Anaia. The official story is that she has merely gone to visit her relatives
at Amethyst Cliff Hold, but there was no warning of her departure and she
left late in the evening, a-dragonback from the Harper Hall, not the Hold.
Could she have...escaped?

Only the Lord Holder himself, it seems, knows the real story. He'd arranged
a marriage for between two of the Hold's residents - a widow named Ailyn and
a respectable farmer, Mineas. Ailyn, however, disliked Mineas, and appealed
to Lady Anaia to help her escape. Though she got safely away from Emerald
Falls, one of her accomplices was caught and the Lady Holder's part in the
plot was revealed. Shocked and feeling betrayed, Enrizial was only too
receptive to the advice of one of his holders that he should beat his wife
to teach her a lesson.

As it turned out, he could not bring himself to do it, but there were harsh
words between him and Lady Anaia and she was once more banished to the
Ladies' Quarters. Fearing for her safety, she fled to the Harper Hall where
Master Ryndel assisted her. She sent for a dragonrider, and travelled to
Amethyst Cliff where she claimed sanctuary from Lord Alalir.

Needless to say, Enrizial was livid - especially when his journey to the
other Hold to bring her back was unsuccessful. He has plans for revenge,
however - on the huntsman who helped Ailyn to escape, on Ryndel himself, and
on his errant wife...could the return of his former lover Chaella influence
that third desire for vengeance?

Meanwhile, the residents of the Hold have been getting on as best they can
in the increasingly uncomfortable atmosphere of Emerald Falls. Master
Miranek has been seeing patients ranging from a harper apprentice,
Nathyniel, to Lady Anaia herself before her departure.

Emerald Falls is set for some troubled times, with the restrictions on the
lives of females increasing and suspicions growing as to who the mysterious
people helping Hold women to escape might be. Whoever they are, if caught,
they can expect a harsh punishment...a one-way trip to the mountain mines.
Nonetheless, new holders and crafters are always very welcome and we can
guarantee you'll have plenty to post about!

As expected, nothing ever stays placid at Amethyst Cliff Hold and this month
proves no exception! As the Hold bustled with activity regarding the Lord
Holder's upcoming marriage to Lady Enriline, they were surprised with the
unexpected arrival of Lady Anaia of Emerald Falls, who arrived, baby
Faraline in tow, to seek sanctuary there after her husband Lord Enrizial
found out that she'd been aiding women in escaping from the less than
restrictions there and banished her from their quarters. Lindria, Alajeran
and Vivvi and Cyrek quickly offered their support and took her to see Lord
Alalir, who also quickly supported her decision and offered her sanctuary.
The young Lady Holder was also gratified that Enriline, more used to the
restrictions of Emerald Falls, fully supported her daughter by marriage's
decision to leave.

Enrizial found out where his wife was and descended on the Hold. He and
Alalir voiced their diametrically opposed views regarding women, and after a
strained meeting between Enrizial and Anaia, he returned to Emerald Falls,
leaving threats in his wake and a very shaken Lady Holder behind. Lady
Lindria comforted the upset Anaia and both agreed that with all the babies
soon to be arriving, that they'd have something to take their minds off
their troubles to be sure!

In other news, greenrider Jarri arrived at the Hold to pick up her little
sister, Elira who the Hold had sheltered after she arrived there badly
beaten. With the blessing of the Weyr and the Hold behind her, a grateful
Jarri was able to take her sister with her to reside at Dragonsfall Weyr
where hopefully the little girl with start to heal from the life her sister
escaped and she's been forced to lead since Jarri's departure from her life.

The relationship between Mariss and her father, Steward Cyrek remains
strained. Vivvi and Cyrek's relationship has also seen some strain as late,
as Vivvi supports Mariss' wishes to be more independent-and to see a certain
hold Harper. How these issues will be resolved remains to be seen.

Things are sure to be more strained with the current difficulties between
Lord's Enrizial and Alalir, with the upcoming marriage of Alalir to Enriline
and what the repercussions will be only remains to be seen.

Create a persona at the Hold guaranteed to bring you lots of coposts,
intrigue and drama!

Dolphin Hall:

The Dolphinhall is still recovering and has just recently received news that
they can relocate and stay in Southern. Weyrwoman Kalina has provided a few
possible locations and the Hallmaster and Hallsecond have broken the news to
the staff and dolphineers. Now, the question is, how long will they be stuck
at Dolphin Cove?

EFH - HH

The Harper Hall has received a rather large new addition this past month,
and would like to extend a very warm welcome to the Printer's Hall and
Hallmaster Donnigan! Hopefully they will settle in well and not cause too
much trouble for the Harper Hall, which is attempting to sit comfortably
between conservative Emerald Falls and the Printer's liberal Craft
attitudes. How long can a balance be struck?

Still, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Old Master
Gridis has been feeling his age, lately, and is missing his wife Petara.
Journeyman Daile's young wife Elendiel is having to overcome her shyness,
and Daile has been introducing her to his friends to help her adjust. And
the Harper Hall has also had a part to play in the saga that's been plaguing
Emerald Falls. Hallsecond Ryndel helped Lady Anaia escape from Emerald Falls
to Amethyst Cliff, but didn't inform the Hallmaster of his plans. What will
the repercussions be?

And with this in mind, how long can Hallmaster Gilas maintain his neutral
political stance?

Vinter Hall News

Tension abounds at Vinter Hall. Journeyman Jhonnel has finally learned the
whereabouts of his wife, who left him several months ago. Jhonnel may share
a tragic wife story with Hallmaster Fielton, but the Hallmaster doesn't seem
eager to bond over it.

Without a wife, Jhonnel has found the restdays to be a little more than he
can handle on his own, and has enlisted his children's foster mother,
Miryene, to provide a little sanity--and adult conversation.

Despite his sour mood, Fielton has paid a rare compliment to Journeyman
Arzel. Only time will tell if assigning the young journeyman to assist the
elderly Master of Apprentices was really a reward.
