Green dragons rise every few Pern months. At the beginning of each RL month, an updated list of dragons and flight dates are sent to the list.

Green flight posting is not required. Some people chose to post about only significant flights--a dragon's first one, or an important one. Some people post about the aftermath of the flight. In the end, it is up to you as the author to decide how you want to handle it.
