Physical Description of Persona:
A'dryn is average height with long arms and legs. Life as a rider has helped him fill out with muscle, though he remains lean rather than broad. He has dark skin with deep brown eyes and keeps his hair very short.
Emotional Description of Persona:
Once a happy, friendly child, Aldryn became quiet and withdrawn in adolecence. Disgusted by his sexuality, he believed himself to be unnatural and found the Weyr a shock to his hidebound Holder sensibilities. He's slowly beginning to accept himself.
In drills and Fall his confidence comes out and he even shows hints of leadership.
History of Persona:
The son of a wealthy and respected minor Holder, Aldryn is of the Blood and counts Lords and Ladies among his extended family. Raised to be a proper Southern young man he was supposed to take on a fitting role such as an Understeward and marry within a few turns.
Some of the hold boys suspected he was attracted to men and tormented him for several turns. One day they cornered him and beat him. Aldryn knew it was a matter of time before his parents found out and he considered ending his life.
Then a Searchrider came and provided him with a way out. He believed becoming a dragonrider and fighting Thread was the only way he could find some semblance of honor and not be a shame to his family. Or, at least, less of a shame.
Much to his relief, Nalarith chose him at his first hatching and she is the world to him. They're a hard working, reliable pair, even if the green needs a bit of encouragement to stay on task.
Late in Turn 8, a tsunami and earthquake destroyed River Bluff. A'dryn lost his home and also one of his closest friends, Lenala. He's trying to make the best of his new life in Dolphin Cove.

Description of Dragon:
Nalarith is the color of new leaves with slightly lighter shading on her underside. She is bold and confident, though without the arrogance of the metallic dragons. She is also kind, offering comfort and encouragement to others, especially her rider.
