Persona Profile: Araster
Birthday: m4 d27
Rank: Master Crafter
Location: Vintner Hall, Amber Hills Hold
Craft Rank: Master
Physical Description of Persona:
Araster is man who age has taken a steady toll upon. His short hair has been completely grey for over ten turns, and his face is weathered and wrinkled. A string of illnesses through out his youth kept him from developing muscles. He has always been thin, but in later years Araster started to look decidedly frail. His blue eyes, however, are just as sharp as they've ever been, and just as likely to catch an apprentice in the act of some minor infraction.
Emotional Description of Persona:
Weakness in his childhood didn't stop Araster from developing a fierce intellect. If anything, the months spent trapped in his bed gave him ample chance to outstrip most of the boys his age at his studies. Fiercely proud, Araster has not taken his failing health very well, and is very protective of his position and status, and aggressive towards anyone he feels might be trying to make things easier on him. Apprentices respect him for his sharp mind, and are careful not to push him too far.
History of Persona:
Araster grew up in the Vintner Hall. Fourth generation Vintner, his father didn't give him much choice in what he was going to do with his life. He wasn't very enthusiastic at first, having dreamt of a life of adventure--or at least a life away from the shadow of his father. When a string of illnesses destroyed his health, however, he gave up the notion and devoted himself more fully to his studies.
He progressed through the ranks at a fairly normal pace, spending more of his time teaching than he did in actual practice of his craft. His skill in imparting knowledge to the apprentices and setting them at ease was valued by the Hallmaster. At forty-five he was set the task of assisting the old Master of Apprentices, learning his job with every expectation of taking his place when he retired.
It happened sooner rather than later, and for the past twenty turns, Araster has been happy as the Master of Apprentices with only a brief break when he suffered a mild heart attack.
