Physical Description of Persona:
Jalodwyn is a slender woman of average height. She has a swimmer's body, her shoulders, hips and thighs tightly toned by turns of swimming in ocean currents. She has long, wavy auburn hair that she typically keeps up in a high runner tail. Spending time in the sun has given her hair lighter reddish highlights.

She isn't classically beautiful, but has a full set of lips that many have commented were sensual. Her eyes are almond shaped and light blue with slashing brows that accent her oval face.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Growing up, Jalodwyn was bright, bubbly and mischievous, always ready to joke or play harmless pranks on her peers. But recent turns have changed her personality. She's sometimes emotionally unstable, with periods of weeping and other periods of anxiety. She's withdrawn from most people, and has few friends, but those she is close to can draw out who she was with a bit of prodding. Her temper is short at the worst of times, but at the best of times, she can still laugh and her old sense of humor emerges.

History of Persona:
Jalodwyn grew up among dolphineers and she had decided upon the craft from the moment she understood what it was. Her mother was a dolphineer, her father was a dolphineer, and her sister is a dolphineer. It was a pleasant and fulfilling childhood, playing in the ocean and with her parents' dolphin partners.

Her father died when she was fifteen of an illness that the Healers couldn't control. It was then that she met Thayde, who was also in training for her craft. A fast friendship emerged and they later became close lovers as they grew older. Thayde was transferred away and Jalodwyn never was able to tell him how she felt about him.

In her fashion, she tried to move on and moved up the ranks to Senior Journeywoman. At 29, her dolphin partner, Zeel, suddenly passed, leaving Jalodwyn fiercely grieving the unexpected loss. Her mother began helping her through the grieving process, but during a duty shift on a ship, was lost at sea during a storm. Her mother's vessel had no survivors, despite the nearby pod.

Jalodwyn fell into a whirlwind of grief. A close friend, Ivaran, stepped in to help pull her handle the loss. She and the Seacrafter began to forge a fledgling relationship and she began to heal with his help. She felt herself grow closer to the man and had been looking forward to his return from Riverbluff Weyr. His ship was docked near the Weyr when the Earthquake hit.

His body was never found among the wreckage and something within Jalodwyn seemed to break. She remembered Thayde and their previous close relationship. Desperate for some sort of stability, she traveled to Dolphin's Cove Dolphin Crafthall.

There, she found that she was too late. Thayde had recently married. When the circumstances of his marriage, one of initial convenience, was explained to her, hope flared in her. She felt that she needed him desperately and in her mind, she could save him from a loveless marriage, even if she was only a lover. In a night of passion on the beach, spurred by Thayde's frustration, she thought she'd have her former lover back, only to be rebuffed after their passion was spent.

She left, but Thayde hadn't left her with nothing. She was with child. She came back, still emotionally unstable and unable to properly grieve, she latched onto Thayde with a desperation and manipulated a shift to spend a sevenday with him, hoping to convince him that she was better for him. It didn't go well. He refused to believe that the child she carried was his and after a public display that involved Thayde's wife, she was sent to the furthest outpost.

Jalodwyn emotionally broke and it was only through the efforts of a fellow, empathetic dolphineer, Yasha, that she began to see a Mindhealer. Yasha proved to be a steady source of strength and hope, proving to be protective and supportive, but not allowing Jalodwyn to sink further into despair, nor did she allow Jalodwyn to cling unnecessarily.

Jalodwyn's daughter, Jalotha, was born healthy, but out of bitterness towards Thayde and her own fears about her child being rejected, she has refused to allow Thayde any relationship with the baby. With the help of a Mindhealer, she is slowly improving, but still has periods of intense anxiety.
